Today show host and guest weather anchor Dylan Dreyer is seemingly handling her divorce postively. In her first public coversation about her separation from husband Brian Fichera in July, Dreyer shed light on how she handled the split on the talk show. In conversation with host Jenna Bush Hager, she said:

“Everybody has their reasons for what leads to a separation or divorce. That's another story with a lot of wine, and that's a whole different thing, but either way we've gotten to this place.”

She further elaborated her point:

“There's something freeing for Brian and I where — whatever reasons, whatever broke in a marriage — you could either fix it if you can and ideally you would and you try to fix things. Or you accept that it's broken and you take this new step forward.”

Further in the interview she said about how she is navigating her life:

"I come to work and I smile, and it's not fake. I feel genuinely happy. I'm with my kids, and I'm laughing all the time. I'm with Brian, and I'm laughing."

The episode aired on November 5 and is now available on YouTube.

Earlier this year in June, Dreyer revealed her decision to seraparate from her husband Brian, who she met in Boston when they were both working for WHDH, NBC's local affiliate.

The couple exchanged vows in 2012, and share four sons, Calvin Bradley, Oliver George, and Rusty James. The couple have often expressed their love for the city of Boston and had even laid out plans to settle down had Dreyer's Today show gig hadn't turned up. In a sit-down with Today.com, Dylan Dreyer revealed:

“I never had a goal to be at the TODAY show. I thought I was going to set up shop in Boston. I met my husband up there and we were just going to buy a house and live in Boston. Then this opportunity came along. But I always said 'yes' to the opportunities.”

After her separation from husband Brian Fichera, Dylan revealed she harnessed a lot of courage from her faith. She revealed:

“I’ve relied on my faith more than anything. And there's something really comforting about knowing that there is a higher power holding my hand every day.”

Earlier this month, Dylan Dreyer revealed that she has 'quit' New York City and has moved, with her sons, to the suburbs.
