“How exhausting would that be?” — Brad Pitt addresses speculation that Ines de Ramon relationship debut was a “calculated” move

Brad Pitt pushed back against claims that his relationship with Ines de Ramon had been unveiled in a calculated manner. In GQ’s 2025 Blockbuster Summer Issue, the Oscar winner denied that the couple’s joint appearance at the 2024 British Grand Prix had been strategically planned.

“No, dude, it’s not that calculated,” Pitt shared in the profile published on May 28.

“If you’re living … oh my God, how exhausting would that be? If you’re living with making those kinds of calculations? No, life just evolves. Relationships evolve,” he added.

Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon were first publicly seen together at the British Grand Prix in July 2024. Later that year, they made their red carpet debut during the Venice International Film Festival, where Pitt premiered his film Wolfs, co-starring George Clooney.

This relationship marked Brad Pitt's first since finalizing his divorce from actress Angelina Jolie. When asked whether the conclusion of that lengthy legal process brought him any sense of relief, Pitt declined to frame it that way.

“No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing, just something coming to fruition. Legally,” he said.

Reflecting on the public interest in his private life, Brad Pitt commented,

“It’s been in the news for 30 years, bro. Or some version of my personal life, let’s put it that way.”

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce in 2016 after two years of marriage. Her attorney, James Simon, later stated to People Magazine in December 2024 that Jolie was "exhausted" but "relieved" that a part of the legal process had concluded.

“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over,” shared James Simon.

Ines de Ramon had already closed a chapter with actor Paul Wesley before she entered the public eye with Brad Pitt.

de Ramon graduated in 2013 from the University of Geneva with a degree in business administration. Though she also held a nutrition health coach certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, most of her career revolved around high-end jewelry. According to her LinkedIn, she worked for Christie’s and Swiss jeweler De Grisogono in roles tied to the luxury market.

She and Wesley first sparked speculation about their marital status in early 2019 when the two were seen in New York City wearing matching bands. While they didn’t confirm the rumors, Nina Dobrev casually referred to de Ramon as Wesley’s “wife” in a June 2019 podcast, seemingly putting the mystery to rest.

By September 2022, the pair had gone their separate ways. A representative told People Magazine that the separation had taken place five months earlier and was mutual. The divorce was finalized in February 2024. In legal filings, Wesley noted that they had reached an agreement covering support and property. He waived any future spousal support, and de Ramon asked the court to restore her previous name.
