Latin comedian Ken Flores' cause of death has been unveiled seven months after his demise was announced.
People Magazine has reported that Flores, known for his contributions in founding the LatinXL comedy show, died of cocaine toxicity. A report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner also confirmed that there were signs of congestive heart failure, which was listed as "another significant condition." Per The Mirror, he tested negative for other substances like alcohol, fentanyl, meth, and opioids.

The Mirror has reported that, at the time of his demise, Ken Flores was touring across America for a 33-show gig. He was due in Phoenix, Arizona, just hours after his demise was confirmed. In their statement, his family said:
"It is with great sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of our friend, brother, and son, Kenyi Flores. Please respect our privacy at this time as we are all shocked and devastated by this loss."
Ahead of his demise, Ken Flores admitted to trying to perform his tour while staying away from alcohol:
"So I started my tour a couple weeks ago and I'm proud to say I've done every single show - five in Portland, one in Albuquerque, and four in Atlanta - without a single drop of alcohol," he tweeted. "Nervous for Phoenix next weekend but I think I got it. I'm not sober just wanna chill a bit."
His demise sparked a wave of mourning online, with tributes pouring in from comedy clubs and his fellow comedians. The Hollywood Improv took to social media to share photos of him on-stage, with a tribute that read:
“We were honored to share your talent on our stages. You were greatness, and it was only a matter of time until the whole world saw it. You were also kind and a tremendous friend to all lucky enough to know you. We love you Ken, thank you for all the laughs.”
The Laugh Factory in L.A. also penned online, per Deadline:
“Rest in peace, make god laugh.” Hollywood Improv added, “We were honored to give him a stage to share his talent. Sending so much love to his family and the comedy community 🖤🤍.”
The comedian died in January at the age of 28. At the time, the Los Angeles Times confirmed that his body was discovered at his residence in the afternoon. Deadline has reported that first responders tried to perform CPR to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Ken Flores' family confirmed his demise in a statement on Instagram the following day.
