Actress Anna Camp, known for her roles in You and Pitch Perfect, recently shared candid details about her marriage to her first husband, Michael Mosley.
On May 14, 2025, the actress was on the Podcrushed podcast with Penn Badgley and other hosts. While reflecting on a breakup and how she met her first husband, the actress said:
“But then, I went out and I was like I am going to go out for the first time. I took like a week to whatever and then I went out and that's when I met my first husband and so we met very young. It was like a one-night stand that lasted seven years.”
She went on:
“And we grew a lot from 21 to I mean, he was a little older but I changed so much and we both moved from New York to LA together. He is an actor, wonderful actor. We are still pretty close but it was really difficult to not be working anymore.”
Anna Camp and Michael Mosley's marriage lasted for three years. The former couple tied the knot in 2010 but called off their marriage in 2013. As per sources, the reason for their separation was irreconcilable differences.
While chatting with Badgley and other hosts, Camp shared that she struggled with how the relationship ended. For her, it was symbolic of the initial days when she moved to New York.
She recalled the simple, fun times they had, like doing laundry, walking around, partying, and believed that connection would last forever. Despite these, she felt that they had grown apart. Although Anna Camp admitted it was a painful heartbreak, they remained on good terms later on.
What was Anna Camp’s embarrassing story?
Penn Badgley asked her to narrate an embarrassing story. Anna Camp shared that during her school days, she had a crush on Brian Harmon. However, he was not interested in her and had previously commented that he did not like how she walked.
Despite this lack of interest, she continued to have feelings for him. She also kept one of his photographs. One of her friends offered to make the picture into a large poster.
The following day, when her mother took her to school, she noticed a group of students. Brian was among them. They were gathered around a very large poster of Brian. Her heart sank with disappointment while others laughed at her. It was embarrassing, and Anna Camp said her friend betrayed her trust.
While discussing her experience with the Broadway show Equus, Anna Camp said she felt uncomfortable being unclothed in public spaces like the gym, especially since she had been shy.
For the part in the play, she needed to speak with a British accent. She also had to be without clothing while on stage. However, she was not asked to remove her clothes during the audition.
Even though she went through the audition process, Anna Camp wished not to get the role. This was because she felt very nervous about being unclothed in front of an audience. During her train ride back home, her agent called to inform her that she had been chosen for the play.
