Rosario Dawson and Senator Cory Booker dated for more than 2 years before splitting up in February, 2022. Booker announced his engagement to girlfriend Alexis Lewis on Instagram on September 2 afternoon in a beachside post.

In the caption, Booker said:

"I'm thrilled to share: Alexis and I are engaged. I am savoring the soul affirming wonder of everyday life with my partner, best friend, and now my fiance."

Alexis and Booker had been dating for about a year and a half and had also moved in together as per Booker's conversation with the Washington Examiner earlier this month. However, as Booker announces his engagement, the internet can't help but point out Alexis Lewis' resemblance to Booker's ex-girlfriend Rosario Dawson.

A user (@yawovimawuena) in a post featuring Cory with Dawson mentioned that Booker has a "type": "So he has a type . He broke up with Rosario Dawson and somehow found Rosario’s sister from another mother. Damn.."

Another user (@SinnamonCouture) insinuated that Cory deliberately found someone that resembles his ex: "Cory Booker finding someone that looks like his ex Rosario Dawson is wild. Congratulations 🎉 on the engagement champ 🫵🏽"

Another user (@theglisted) pointed out that Lewis looks "strikingly" similar to Dawson: "I almost Cory Booker’s alleged new fiancé was Rosario Dawson. She looks strikingly similar to Rosario. Congratulations to them. 😎"
