Dax Shepard, who has been married to Kristen Bell for eleven years, recently took to Instagram to celebrate her Emmy nomination in a rather unconventional way. Soon after the Emmy nominations were announced on Tuesday, Dax Shepard posted a near naked picture of Kristen Bell, attempting to do a handstand, where he congraluted her and said that this was a sneak peek from the behind-the-scenes preparation of Bell's Emmy nominated performance.

He captioned the post saying,

"People might not know everything that happens behind the scenes in order to create an Emmy nominated performance like Kristen’s. This may or may not have been a part of her training, but it felt right. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!”

Kristen Bell plays the role of Joanne opposite Adam Brody, who plays the role of Noah Roklov in the hit Netflix series, "Nobody Wants This." Kristen Bell has been nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series, but she is not the only cast member who has received a nomination. Adam Brody has been nominated for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series, and even the show itself has received a nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell have been together for close to two decades. According to People Magazine, the couple met in 2007, when they were both attending an event. In a 2019 interview with Today, Kristen Bell reflected on their first encounter, saying that Dax Shepard did not make much of an impression on her. Infact, it was not until they met two weeks later that her perspective of him changed. She said:

"We were sitting at a table. The only thing I remember is that he talked so much. Two weeks later we both met at a hockey game … we saw each other … started to flirt. Then a day after that I get a text that says, ‘Hi, my name is Dax. I violated your privacy and got your number from Shauna. How do you feel about that?’ And I was like, ‘Excuse me? You sound stimulating.'”

She further added:

"He’s so bold and that was my kind of person. I was like, okay, starting it off with a really good joke that makes me feel, like, butterflies. I fell in love with him way before he fell in love with me."

The couple soon started dating and in 2009, after two years of dating, they got engaged. They announced this news a few months later during their red carpet appearance at the 52nd Grammy Awards. In March 2013, Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell welcomed their first child, a daughter, named Lincoln Bell Shepard.

According to People Magazine, the couple who have long maintained their support of gay marriage rights, waited to get married until the Defense of Marriage Act was dismissed by the Supreme Court. Following the ruling, Kristen Bell proposed to Dax Shepard in June 2013.

Later, in October 2013, Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell tied the knot in a simple courthouse ceremony. Just a year after their marriage the couple announced the birth of their second daughter, Delta Bell Shepard, who was born on December 2014.

In a 2019 exclusive interview with People Magazine, Dax Shepard opened about how they make their relationship work after all these years together. He said:

"We definitely had to work really hard at being a couple because we're both incredibly, painfully stubborn, and we're pretty much opposites."
