Boston Rob Mariano, 49, recently detailed her daughter Carina getting hospitalized after getting poked by a green plant.

On June 15, 2025, he explained the scary incident on his Instagram stories, People confirmed. His teenage daughter was rushed to the hospital during their trip to Mexico.

The Survivor actor spoke about her kid's "pretty severe" reaction, sharing on Instagram,

"MY #CarinaRose got poked by this plant yesterday on the golf course... long story short we ended up in the hospital last night"

Boston Rob Mariano and his wife, Amber Brkich Mariano, are proud parents to four daughters, Lucia Rose, Carina Rose, Isabetta Rose, and Adelina Rose.

Sharing a picture of the plant and its sharp leaves, the Traitors star further noted that Carina Rose suffered from a "pretty severe reaction." Also, she "was in a lot of pain."

The doctors at the hospital in Mexico did an ultrasound. She underwent the test so that her doctors could "look for the spine." However, they saw

"an abundance of fluid inside her knee near where the plant pricked her"

Due to the reaction, they "prescribed some antibiotics and anti-inflammatories" to Carina.

Boston Rob added in his Instagram story,

"Thankfully, she's feeling much better today!"

The Mariano family stayed at the Hilton Los Cabos Resort in Mexico. He shared a glimpse of his vacation with the women of his life on Instagram.

He captioned the cute family picture,

"My Loves!"

Rob expressed his gratitude to the resort for their assistance and conveyed it in his Instagram story, writing,

Thank You to everyone @hiltonloscabos we're helping to make sure she got the care she needed quickly!

Later, The Campaign actor uploaded a picture of Carina with her bandaged left leg and a pair of crutches. Sharing her health update, he noted,

"She's actually feeling much better!!!"

Boston Rob also shared a snippet of the sharp green plant and spoke about recognizing it. He explained,

"We have identified the culprit El Datilillo, 'The Spanish Dagger.'"

Boston Rob and Amber first met on the Season 8 of Survivor: All-Stars, People reported. Soon, they began dating, and Rob proposed to his soulmate during the finale episode on live TV in May 2004.

Lucia Rose

Rob and Amber had their eldest daughter, Lucia Rose, on July 4, 2009. According to People, she was born at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.

In a conversation with the outlet, Boston Rob expressed her affection for her daughter, sharing,

"Lucia is a great eater and sleeps a lot, however she tends to be a bit of a night owl like her daddy at times. She is a perfect baby, and we could have asked for anything more. We are over the moon with happiness at her arrival."

Carina Rose

Born on December 10, 2010, Carina is the Mariano couple's second daughter. Rob shared the news of welcoming her second child during the Survivor: Nicaragua reunion.

While chatting with Jeff Probst, Boston Rob noted,

"I’m definitely outnumbered now! But at the end of the day, it’s exciting and fun. I always thought I would have boys, but as a father, when your kids are born and they’re healthy and happy, that’s the most important thing."

He also looked back on Amber's experience with giving birth to Carina, explaining,

"As I’m standing there, I see her having contractions. They went from five minutes apart to three minutes apart. By the time we got to the car, they were a minute apart, and we live 40 minutes from the hospital. We got there at 2:15 a.m. and she had the baby at 2:25 a.m. There was no time for an I.V., no time for an epidural. It was amazing what she did."

Isabetta Rose

Rob and Amber welcomed their third daughter, Isabetta Rose, on May 5, 2012. In an exclusive interview with People, Amber said,

"Isabetta Rose was born on Cinco de Mayo."

Opening up about her child, she further noted,

"Isabetta was born with a full head of brown hair and blue eyes. She still has all of her hair almost six weeks later, and her eyes are still as blue as can be. Her sisters can’t get enough of her. They always want to hold her and I’m not sure who gives her more kisses — her big sisters or her parents!"

Adelina Rose

On June 21, 2014, Boston Rob announced the birth of his youngest child, born on June 10, 2014. Sharing a selfie with her wife and newborn daughter, he wrote on X (formerly Twitter),

In a 2020 episode of the First Class Fatherhood podcast, the actor reflected on waiting for some time before expecting their daughters, People cited. He explained,

"We waited a few years to have kids, and that was kind of by design. We wanted to enjoy each other first."
