How many children does Brooke shield’s have? Actress explains why she’s leaving her jewellery for only one of her daughters

According to a recent article by Entertainment News, American actress Brooke Shields revealed that only one of her two daughters will inherit her jewelry.

In an interview published on June 5 with Only Natural Diamonds, Shields disclosed that she will give all her diamond jewelry to her younger daughter, Griar Henchy. Brooke Shields further clarified her statement by noting that her elder daughter, Rowan Henchy, has misplaced every piece of jewelry given to her.

"I literally cannot do it again." Brooke Shields said in the interview.

Brooke Shields shares her two daughters, Grier Henchy, who is 19 years old, and Rowan Henchy, who is 22 years old, with her husband, Chris Henchy. Shields further elaborates that it is not just about the jewelry alone and that her younger daughter understands and appreciates craftsmanship better.

"It's not about the gold or diamonds alone. She sees the history, the workmanship, the story behind the institution of these houses."

Brooke Shields mentioned that she always sees old jewelry pieces and heirlooms and values them. Her first diamond was given to her by her mother, Teri Shields, who passed away in 2012.

"My mom always said, ‘Buy yourself your own diamond—don’t wait to be given one from a man. My mom bought me my first emerald-cut diamond. It’s very beautiful, and I got it set in a Verdura cuff."

"Ever since I was a little girl, every time we’d go somewhere, we’d find a jewelry store—if we were in Asia, it was pearls; if we were elsewhere, it was diamonds or brooches. Maybe it’s because she grew up in Newark during the Depression era, in poverty, and jewelry represented what she aspired to have in life." Shields remembered her travel stories with her mother Teri who was a model and often travelled for work.

Actress Brooke Shields married her husband Chris Henchy on April 4, 2001. The couple has two daughters named Grier and Rowan Henchy. Their first daughter, Rowan Francis Henchy, was born in 2003, and Grier Hammond Henchy was born three years later in 2006. During an interview with People in 2022, Shields expressed her concern for her daughters growing up in the age of social media and mentioned that she tries to keep them away from the spotlight.

"What I do really reiterate over and over and over again is that what you see may not be the reality, and you can't just accept it because the spotlight's on it and it's on Instagram. You really have to know that it's the world of Oz because behind the curtain, that's where you want to live." said Shields during the interview.

Rowan Henchy was born on May 15, 2003, and shares a close relationship with her mother, Shields. She grew up in New York and graduated from high school there. In August 2021, Rowan moved to Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
