How many children does Jason Momoa have? Actor's son, Nakoa-Wolf, to reportedly debut in upcoming project

Jason Momoa is an action hero, heartthrob, and jokester, but he takes the greatest pride in his qualities as a devoted father. He has two children, Nakoa-Wolf and Lola Iolani, with ex-wife Lisa Bonet, and will be teaming up with one of his kids in the upcoming third installment of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune franchise.

According to Deadline reports, Nakoa-Wolf will portray Leto II, the son of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and Chani (Zendaya), the series’ main protagonists. Jason Momoa famously played Duncan Idaho, whose resurrected character will also appear in the film.

In other news, Nakoa-Wolf's on-screen twin sister, Ghanima, has also been cast and will be portrayed by Ida Brooke.

Deadline also reported that filming on Dune: Messiah could potentially begin as early as summer 2025, depending on the availability of the main cast. While nothing is confirmed, the film appears to be scheduled for a December 2026 release.

Jason Momoa - upcoming projects

Aside from his recently announced collaboration with his son in Dune: Messiah, Jason Momoa has many other exciting projects currently in development or becoming more concrete. The first of these happens to be based on an iconic video game.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jason Momoa, Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, and Roman Reigns are in early talks to star in an adaptation of Street Fighter for Legendary Entertainment.

“Based on the popular Street Fighter video game, the project is a partnership with Capcom and has not yet announced its cast. But it’s understood Momoa, Koji, Centineo and Reigns are circling the adaptation in early negotiations.”

Also, Deadline recently confirmed that Jason Momoa will team up with comedic actor Andy Samberg on “a two-hander action comedy” for Netflix. According to the reports, the film is,

Momoa is currently enjoying the incredible box office success of A Minecraft Movie, co-starring Jack Black, which secured the biggest opening ever for a video game adaptation, with a worldwide gross already exceeding $948 million. His upcoming slate also includes a role in Craig Gillespie's Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, starring Milly Alcock in the titular role, where he gets to live out his longtime ambition to play the intergalactic alien Lobo.
