How many children does John McEnroe have? Former tennis star's son Kevin McEnroe ties the knot with Fern Cozine in California ceremony

Kevin McEnroe, John McEnroe and Tatum O'Neal's son, is now a married man.

People Magazine broke the news that the 39-year-old tied the knot with Fern Cozine, whom he had been engaged to since November 2023. Their nuptials were held in Napa, California, on Saturday, June 14.

His parents, John and Tatum, had been married from 1986 to 1994, but their bond soured following their divorce. The seven-time Major champion shares three kids with the actress: Kevin, 39, Sean, 37, and Emily, 34. McEnroe also shares three children with his second wife, Patty Smyth: Anna, 29, and Ava, 26.

Ahead of Kevin's wedding, she spoke to Variety about the first time she would be in the same room with her estranged husband.

“The anger is gone,” O’Neal told the outlet in February.

Evoke has reported that the wedding saw the bride and groom sport an effortless 1950s style look. While Kevin McEnroe's bride had on a cream wedding gown and a short veil, the former kept things simple with a cream blazer and black suit trousers. Back when they got engaged, they took to social media to announce the news, captioning it at the time:

"definitely, definitely."

As for John McEnroe and his estranged beau, they were seen doting on their kids at the ceremony. Shortly after their split in 1992, an ugly divorce and custody battle ensued, with the former tennis player being awarded custody in 1998. At the time, the actress struggled with heroin abuse. However, the kids maintained their bond with their mother.

Kevin even wanted his mother to give a speech during his wedding.

“She’s going to make a speech at the wedding,” he told Variety in February. “I think since this happened, everybody has rallied and has wished you the best.”

Back in 2015, O'Neal got candid with People Magazine about how she and John McEnroe reconnected at the reading of Kevin's novel, Our Town. Noting that John was “nice” to her, she said:

“I would say there isn't a relationship, but there is respect now."

In 2020, she said that the “happiest times” of her life were when she was married to John McEnroe.

“I was loved, I was cared for. ... That's it, that's what one wants, isn't it, in a marriage?,” she told CBS at the time. “I've never met anyone who even comes close to my ex-husband. He's happier, and I'm happy for him. And that makes me happy.”
