Kate Upton and husband Justin Verlander have just welcomed a new addition to their family.
On June 19, Upton gave birth to the couple’s second baby, a son named Bellamy Brooks Verlander. Upton's representatives confirmed the news to People Magazine, while TMZ was the first to report the story.
Though neither Kate nor Justin has spoken out about the newest addition to their family directly, the San Francisco Giants confirmed in a June 20 post to X that the athlete had been “placed on the Paternity List.”
The couple is also parents to a 6-year-old daughter named Genevieve.

Last year, before the birth of her second child, Upton told People Magazine that her daughter “Vivi,” as she’s affectionately called, is just like her father. They are both "big rule followers" according to the former model, whereas she's not.
"She loves to dance and have a good time, and she loves to be in the moment. I think she gets that from me," Upton told the outlet.
In a conversation with Extra in May 2024 at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit launch, Kate spoke on how motherhood has impacted her career.
“Being a mother, especially to a daughter, motivates you in so many ways to really be aware of the messaging that is put out there for young women. That’s why it is so exciting to be aligned with a brand like Sports Illustrated who encourages you to accept yourself in every aspect and accept your differences.”
Upton continued,
“That’s what makes you you. Your voice matters and you matter. Women really need to tell that to themselves.”
Kate Upton and MLB star Justin Verlander tied the knot in 2017, mere days after Justin’s World Series win. In the years since, they have moved from Houston to New York, and back to Houston again, before Verlander recently signed a one-year deal with the San Francisco Giants in January.
In 2019, Verlander spoke to People Magazine about the impact of fatherhood on his playing career,
"I would like to be able to play long enough that my daughter can see me and remember me playing baseball when she grows older. Maybe if anything, it's going to push me to stay in shape and stay healthy, and be a good pitcher as long as I possibly can. I want her to be able to remember me on the field."
