How many children does Stephen A. Smith have? Sports analyst gets roasted by his daughter on his own show

TV personality Stephen A. Smith's daughter, Samantha, was a recent guest on his show, episodes of which are available on YouTube. One of the segments of the show included Smith getting roasted by Samantha. Smith has two daughters, Samantha A. Smith and Nyla Smith.

As the show began, Samantha said:

“Hey y'all, I'm back. By popular demand, of course, it's finally time that I join back the Stephen A. Smith show. Don't you guys worry. I'm here to stay. I won't leave again. I'm sorry that it's been so long.”

Smith reminded his daughter that she had school. Samantha then asked her father to let the audience know how she could contribute to the show. He said he didn’t want her back on the show, and she should focus on her studies. He said:

“I didn't want you to come back. You're the one that insisted on coming back.”

Samantha told everyone that she was back and had a lot to share since people had missed her. Before starting, she thanked everyone from the bottom of her heart for all the love and support, saying she had been hoping for moments like this. Showing gratitude to everyone who had been kind to her, she said:

“I was in LA for the month with my dad and we got to see so many people. So many people came up to me and was like, ‘You're so funny. Thank you for making them stop talking.’ And I just feel so accomplished and I feel so grateful that like there are people like you guys who are so kind to me.”

Stephen A. Smith said he was more obedient to his parents than Samantha is to hers

Speaking about how people came to recognize her, Samantha hoped she could take her father’s place someday. As she kept talking, Stephen A. Smith pulled the mic towards him and said that if she took his place, his bills wouldn’t get paid. As a result, she would be obliged to pay for him. Samantha then said:

“You guys are going to keep seeing him on your screens for a while then. I think that's best for me and my sister and our family.”

She then brought up a fan question, which asked how she was similar to and different from her father. Stephen A. Smith said they looked almost the same. He said he was smart, but Samantha was brilliant. Moreover, he felt they both knew how to do TV. He told Samantha:

“I was more obedient with my parents than you are. So, we're not like each other.”

In terms of sense of humor, Samantha said she wanted everyone to know that her dad had a hidden talent. It was his impression of a guy from Harlem Nights that always made him laugh. She explained that they shared a similar sense of humor and also had the same strong work ethic.

Stephen A. Smith agreed, saying they both worked hard, but he was better at waking up early to get things done, while she still had potential to improve.
