Prominent right-wing political commentator Charlie Kirk was tragically gunned down on September 10 at a campus event at Utah Valley University. He was married to former Miss Arizona USA Erika Frantzve, and they shared two children.

The Turning Point USA founder was senselessly executed during one of his “Prove Me Wrong” table activations, while surrounded by students. Bullets appeared to hit Kirk in the head and neck area based on footage obtained from the scene, which led to confusion and chaos.

President Donald Trump shared the following message about the tragedy on Truth Social,

"The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us."

A statement was also shared on behalf of Turning Point USA,

"May he be received into the merciful arms of our loving Savior who suffered and died for Charlie. We ask that everyone keep his family and loved ones in your prayers."

Charlie Kirk was only 31 years old at the time of his death.

Charlie Kirk’s personal life

The late Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika, certainly has an impressive resume. She is a former pageant queen, collegiate-level athlete (basketball), and is currently pursuing her doctorate in Biblical studies at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. As per ABC News, she is also the founder of a “faith-based” clothing line called Proclaim, amongst other ventures.

Charlie Kirk frequently had his wife, Erika, by his side at public engagements, and they also appeared to enjoy giving glimpses into their personal lives via social media. While doing so, the couple was steadfast in protecting their children’s identities, never mentioning their names or including their faces in their posts, a common practice among celebrity parents.

Erika made a heartfelt Instagram post in September 2023 commemorating the 5th anniversary of their first-ever date in New York City.
