George Clooney has been a globally recognized actor; however, in recent years he has been unequivocal about family coming first. The actor and his wife, Amal Clooney, are raising two children. Clooney has frequently talked of how fatherhood has relegated him in terms of priorities.

In 2017, the couple had twins, Alexander and Ella. Since that time Clooney has revealed that he values the ordinary day-to-day life with his family, including school drop-offs, more than movie sets. To him, one of the methods of staying grounded is to spend time with his children. Clooney has mentioned that he felt lucky in life to be a father.

In one of his latest appearances, the actor said to The Daily Mail,

"I have normalcy. You know, I drive my kids to school every morning."

At the New York Film Festival premiere of his new movie Jay Kelly, George Clooney explained how different his real life is compared to his character. He stated,

"We're the same height, same hair"

But he added,

"There wasn't that many similarities, in a weird way. Because he's a guy who's just so sad about his career and his life because he didn't have friends and family, and he surrounds himself with people that just, he paid."

Reflecting on his own life, George Clooney admitted he has been fortunate.

"I've been very lucky to not have to do that. I've been very lucky to have great family and great friends, and my kids actually like me still. They're young."

George Clooney also explained why his approach to fame has been different from his character.

“I got to figure out how to live life before I figured out how to be famous, and I don’t think this character did," he noted.

This balance, he says, has helped him keep his focus on family.
