How many kids does Gervonta Davis have? Boxer arrested on domestic violence charge over Father's Day dispute

Professional boxer Gervonta Davis has been taken into custody following an alleged domestic abuse complaint. He is currently being put up at the Miami-Dade County jail. The allegations were raised against him by his former partner, who claimed that Davis hit her on June 15, 2025.

Davis has three children. He shares a daughter with Andretta Smothers and has a daughter and a son with Vanessa Posso. According to a report by The Guardian, there is no bond involved as per the conditions of the bail. The incident happened when he went to his ex-partner’s place to pick up his children.

According to Local 10, Davis and the woman in question were together for four years. The altercation between them ignited after the boxer asked the woman to get the kids out of the car as he did not want to take them with him anymore. But when she approached the car to take them out, he allegedly hit her.

Gervonta Davis reportedly slapped her, which caused a cut on her lip. The complainant’s identity has not been disclosed at the time of writing. Records mention that after she was allegedly hit, she called out to her mother, who came outside to see the two arguing. She even saw Gervonta Davis hurl a small box at her daughter.

This isn’t the first time the boxer has found himself in such a situation. In 2022, his ex-girlfriend, Vanessa Posso, filed a domestic abuse report against him. However, she took back the complaint a year later.

Gervonta Davis on the change he aspires to see in his 30s

In an interview with Inside Boxing Live in 2024, Gervonta Davis was asked how he felt after hitting his 30s. He said:

“Like I am 30. I don’t supposed to be doing this like. I just feel like I am like I am a little wiser now. Doing in my 20s, I wouldn’t do in my 30s. I feel like my 30s is more so like my calm and where so I chill and you know, let my family, like my kids. I got kids now so let them like you know, run Buck and I take after for them.”

Gervonta Davis also mentioned:

“I want to do therapy, right, but I feel like as though if I do therapy, it will lose the fire that I have inside me, you know. I feel though I want everything out of me where so I don’t never think about fighting again. I don’t think about getting angry. You know what I mean. I have two girls, two daughters, so I would be wanting to be much softer.”

Gervonta Davis said he would like to be more humble. When asked what was on his Christmas wish list, he said he wouldn’t disclose it. However, he then whispered something in the interviewer’s ears.
