Bad Bunny took home several Golden gramophone trophies at the Latin Grammys this week. And I get just as nervous as the first time. That means that what I do matters to me." Dedicating the Album of the Year award to "all the youth of Latin America," he also seemingly pushed back on the criticism he has been subjected to since being announced as the Super Bowl LX headliner, noting, "There are many ways of being patriotic and defending our homelands. We chose music." As reported by TMZ, the singer's forthcoming performance has been subjected to intense scrutiny as Bad Bunny famously performs only in Spanish. He also opted out of performing in the U.S. this year amid his ultra-successful 30-day concert residency across San Juan, Puerto Rico. He reportedly cited concerns of ICE raids at his concerts for his reasoning, prompting trolls to accuse him of hating the U.S. During the ceremony, Argentine duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso also matched Bad Bunny with his five awards when they took home trophies for Best Pop Song, Best Alternative Music Album, Best Alternative Song, Best Short Form Music Video, and Best Long Form Music Video out of the ten nominations.
