Rapper NBA YoungBoy will embark on the Make America Slime Again tour in September 2025. However, right before the tour, he donated $50K to two different non-profit organisations. According to Fox News, these organisations aim to reduce violent crime.
One of these organisations is Manifest Freedom, which aims to empower those affected by the criminal legal system. The other one is Urban Specialist, and it works towards uplifting crime-affected neighborhoods. According to The Shade Room, the amount was equally divided between the two organisations.
YoungBoy, who has a net worth of $10 million as per Celebrity Net Worth, told the outlet:
“Basically, just try to stop the crime. You know, a lot of people be getting hurt. So, it ain’t really cool at this point to me. So, I just want to help in any way I could.”
According to HotNewHipHop, he also said:
“I just want to start this tour on something real. This is bigger than music—it’s about peace, growth, and giving people a real chance to change their lives.”
Someone from Urban Specialist explained that whenever a famous star showed they cared about communities by giving donations, it gave hope to young people. They said this act proved that change and second chances were possible, especially for those who felt they were in the same tough situations as NBA YoungBoy.
The rapper previously stayed in $5.2 million house in Salt Lake City. Last year, the house was put up for sale for $5.9 million.
NBA YoungBoy on money, grandmother’s love, and being scared of people
During a conversation with Billboard in 2023, NBA YoungBoy revealed that he was flooded with enough money from the time he was 16. Showing his car and vehicle collection, he said he wanted to get rid of them as he couldn’t drive most of them. His accountant, Quintina Ricks, stated:
“I can feel when he needs me to be there and so that accounting hat, I take it off when he needs to me to be human, when he needs somebody to talk to. Whatever he needs me to be, that's what I am for him.”
NBA YoungBoy shared that his grandmother was like his whole world, giving him protection and comfort, and after she passed away, everything felt different to him. His producer, Kris “XO” James, said that a friend introduced YoungBoy to him, and after their first music session, he realized YoungBoy usually didn’t trust many people, but somehow he liked him.
Since then, they naturally built a strong bond, almost like brothers. The rapper said:
“I'm not famous. I don't think about. I have a lot of people that know me I guess. I'm terrified of people. I am very scared of people.”
NBA YoungBoy said that he was shy and often scared of people, though he didn’t know why. He explained that once he stepped on stage, he could perform and finish his work, but he felt people could be unkind and unpredictable, which made him nervous about what they might do.
