Recently the American actor Noah Centineo, famous for playing Peter Kavinsky in Netflix’s To All The Boys franchise, was spotted holding hands with actress Zoe Kravitz. The couple made headlines after a source revealed to Life & Style that Kravitz had moved on from her ex-boyfriend Channing Tatum.

Few months ago, Tatum shared his relationship publicly with model Inka Williams. Rumors of Noah Centineo and Zoe Kravitz's relationship had surfaced when the duo was seen leaving the same bar together at 2 A.M. on March 2.

Viewers may have noticed a scar on Noah Centineo's face. The actor got the scar as a result of a dog-bite when he was just 6 years old.

In an interview with Buzzfeed shared on Sep 1, 2018, Noah Centineo explained the reason why viewers may have spotted a scar on his character’s face in the movie To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. He shared that the reason for the scar was a dog attack when he was six years old.

“I got attacked by a dog [laughs]. I got attacked when I was six years old by a Mastiff. He ripped a hole in my face, so you could see my teeth, my gums, and all the way through my tongue to the other side. There was a massive, gaping hole,” explained Noah Centineo.

Noah then covered up for the dog's behavior and refused to take its life away.

"The dog didn't know what it was doing. I specifically remember him lunging, being pulled away from him, and then looking back and seeing him cock his head like he didn't really understand what happened. Some people were like, "Do you wanna put the dog down?" I was crying, like, "No, he didn't mean to do it!" shared Noah Centineo.

Noah Centino's story ends with a positive angle, as six weeks after the accident, his parents got a dog. His pet dog was a black German shepherd and Rottweiler mix, named Mackenzie.

"Getting a dog, a bigger dog, after that was great. And now, the bigger the dog, the better," he shared.

While Noah Centineo's incident raised concerns, experts urged the public not to jump to conclusions about the Mastiff breed. Speaking to Teen Vogue, Brandi Hunter, Vice President of Public Relations and Communications at the American Kennel Club, emphasized that Mastiffs are typically known for their calm nature.

"Mastiffs are one of the most laidback breeds, they are protective, but they're a very sweet breed," she shared.

Hunter added that a dog’s behaviour often comes down to the specifics of its interactions, noting that any breed has the potential to become dangerous under the wrong circumstances.

Brandi shared that dogs may feel threatened when approached too quickly. She explained that sometimes younger children and even adults can interact with a dog in a way that makes them feel threatened. A general opinion was shared that individuals should let the dog approach and sniff first. She also said to go underneath with the petting instead of over the top, and to be gentle in affection.

The American Kennel Club advises watching for signs of aggression, including an intense stare or bared teeth. Brandi also stressed on the importance of supervision with kids, as it’s best to keep an eye on the child and the dog, because children may unintentionally alarm pets.
