NFL star player Arthur Willis Jones III, commonly known as Arthur Jones, is making headlines following his sudden death that shocked his fans and the American football fraternity.

According to People Magazine, Jones passed away on October 3, 2025. He was 39 years old. The news of his death was confirmed in a statement released by the Baltimore Ravens on its Instagram handle.

Arthur Jones, who was a defensive end for the Baltimore Ravens, played seven years in the National Football League. According to Sports Illustrated, born and brought up in Upstate New York, Jones attended high school in Binghamton. Not only Arthur, who was passionate about football and wanted to pursue a career in sports, but also his brother, Chandler Jones, a defensive end who played four Pro Bowls.

Arthur's other brother, Jon Jones, is a retired, renowned mixed martial artist who was active from 2008 to 2025. However, the general manager of the Baltimore Ravens, Eric DeCosta, in the statement released on October 3, 2025, said:

"We are terribly saddened to learn of Arthur Jones' sudden passing."

DeCosta went ahead and said:

"Arthur's presence was a gift to everyone he encountered. His big, bright smile, infectious energy and eternal positivity created a presence that continuously uplifted others. He was kind, courteous and enthusiastic - always displaying a love for family, teammates and friends."

He added:

"We send our deepest condolences to the Jones family and all who loved Arthur."

Arthur Jones' cause of death has not been revealed yet. The Super Bowl champion, Arthur, played three years for the Baltimore Ravens, from 2010 to 2013. Then he joined the Indianapolis Colts and the Washington Commanders.

Before becoming a pro football player in the National Football League, Arthur also played college football for four years for the Syracuse Orange, which represents Syracuse University. However, as his fans are still shocked to learn about his uncertain death, Arthur's former teammate, Walter Stone Sanders, took to the comments section of the Ravens' post on Instagram. Sanders wrote:

"Dam Big Bro… My Teammate My rookie NFL camp year with the Ravens man you always brought energy and was funny, much love."
