The New York Giants playfully trolled Taylor Swift fans at their recent showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs.

During the September 21 “Sunday Night Football” road game at their home stadium, the Giants surprised fans with a “Taylor cam." The pop star's hit song “Welcome to New York" blared in the background, evoking excitement among Swifties.

A camera panned over multiple people in the audience before it arrived at Giants legend Lawrence Taylor. As pointed out by Today.com, the MetLife Stadium erupted into a riot of excitement while Taylor took a puff of his cigar. For the unversed, the former NFL linebacker was born in February 1959, making him 66 years old as of this writing.

Taylor is most known as a first-ballot Hall of Famer, having spent his whole career with the Giants, from 1981-93. Per CBS Sports, during his stint, he was awarded Defensive Player of the Year four times, once as a rookie, and also made the Pro Bowl 10 times. He was also reportedly a first-team All-Pro eight times.

For the unversed, Taylor Swift is currently betrothed to Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs' tight end. The pair have been together since 2023, and got engaged just last month. In the years since, the songstress has been spotted at several of her beau's games, making headlines for her appearances each time.

As for the ”Sunday Night Football” broadcast, it had previously teased Swifties with the idea of the singer making an appearance at the game that night.

“We’re back in our primetime era. 13 days till the album drop... 0 days till SNF,” Sunday Night Football on NBC penned on X the morning of the game.

The tweet was alluding to Taylor Swift's forthcoming twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.

As for the Kansas City Chiefs, they reportedly nabbed their first win this season in the game against the Giants. They lost their previous two games against the Los Angeles Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles, respectively, for what were the first two games of the year.

Clutchpoints has reported that Taylor Swift's husband-to-be, however, did not have a good game. Patrick Mahomes targeted him a total of seven times, though the latter only caught four passes for 26 yards, making it his lowest totals of this year.
