Julie and the Phantoms star Madison Reyes is expectant!
The star left fans elated for her when she shared a photo of herself at the Otakon convention in Washington D.C., cradling a baby bump in a Sims costume with a plumbomb, the green diamond, dangling over her head, while a Sims-style GIF over the photo reads:
"Eating for two! Congratulations! Madison is expecting! There's going to be a new addition to this household."
She captioned the post,
"Went to @otakonpics this weekend and knew it would be the perfect way to announce that this sim is expecting!! @thesims"
For the unversed, the 21-year-old actress is most known for having starred as the lead in the Netflix series, which is also her first stint in the acting industry. Famous Birthdays has reported that the actress's mom is a sergeant in the army, and according to Swooon, she is engaged to Shaun Scudder, with whom she will be welcoming her child.
Everything we know about Madison Reyes' pregnancy and engagement:
In a follow-up video on her Instagram, uploaded on Tuesday, August 12, Madison Reyes called on trolls to keep their distance from her, and asked her fans to shower her with support. She jokingly referred to them as her “lovely aunties and uncles,” and explained that she kept things under wraps for a while to celebrate her engagement properly and prep for “this little bean.”
In the video, she further revealed that her due date is in three months, which is why she also won't be able to make it in person to the Waves Convention in Munich. Instead, she plans on delivering "looks virtually," she quipped in the clip. The convention is slated for this November, and it covers the worlds of world of Julie and the Phantoms and Descendants.
“If anybody has anything negative to say, you will be blocked, reported, and deleted. And Jadah [Marie Johnson] will get on you because double trouble don’t play,” Madison Reyes said in her video, referring to her JATP costar. “Yes, this is very real,” she continued. “This is very true. Thank you to everybody who respected me and my time. Anybody who kind of expected anything… I kinda kept it down low, low-key. To all of the people that thought they were right, you were right. Period.”
She added:
“This is why I love you guys. You guys let me enjoy my engagement, and I’ve just been getting ready for this little bean to arrive."
The actress revealed her engagement just last month, with Swooon, a TV Insider partner, reporting that the two have been dating for a few years. Social media posts of the pair date back to 2023.
“I really hope that you guys are so happy for a little Maddy to come into this world,” Madison Reyes concluded her video.
