Nicole Curtis of the show 'Rehab Addict' is 48 years old. Curtis returned to the show on June 24 after a three-year break and brought her ex-boyfriend, Ryan Sawtelle, along.

Curtis was in an on-again, off-again relationship with her other ex-boyfriend, Shane Maguire, and welcomed a son, Harper, in 2015. In 2018, the exes signed a custody agreement, marking the end of their years-long legal custody battle.

According to the custody battle ruling, Curtis was noted to share joint legal and physical custody of 3-year-old Harper, as documented in court papers obtained by Blast in 2018. The documents outline the couple's relationship over the years and highlight the many different ways they could not agree on parenting. While speaking to People at the time, Curtis said,

"As court records indicate, an agreement was reached. As a parent you do whatever you have to do to keep peace and calm for your child - this was best for our son."

As per the court agreement documents, Curtis and Maguire will "share equal responsibility and decision-making authority" for their son's well-being, which includes his health care, education, and religious training.

More about Nicole Curtis and Shane Maguire's relationship and custody battle

Nicole Curtis, best known for her work on HGTV and DIY, dated Shane Maguire. Their relationship ended before she found out she was pregnant with her son, Harper, in 2014.

Curtis has another adult son, Ethan, from a previous relationship. In Curtis' 2016 memoir, Better than New, she describes Shane's reaction to her pregnancy, noting that she initially planned to raise Harper on her own.

Maguire filed for paternity and joint custody in December 2015, which he was awarded, according to The Detroit News. However, Curtis contested this and attempted to delay Maguire's overnight custody of Harper until he is 2 years old. Nicole Curtis stated that she was exclusively breastfeeding Harper and was unable to pump enough breast milk in advance to meet the court's requirement for times when Harper was away from her.

Maguire claimed that Nicole Curtis was using breastfeeding as an excuse to keep him away from his son. Nicole Curtis also alleged that she was denied time with her son during Easter, after which Maguire filed for sole custody of Harper, asserting that Curtis is "not a fit" mother.

As she makes a comeback on Rehab Addict, the star spoke to People on July 1, revealing that she took time away from the show because she had a "setback" that "just rocked me to my core."
