Rob Reiner's daughter, Romy, discovered his and his wife Michele's dead bodies in their Los Angeles home. People Magazine has reported that the pair were murdered by their son, Nick. The Los Angeles Fire Department first received reports about the incident at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 14. Upon arriving at the residence, they reportedly discovered a man and a woman dead. The victims were later identified as Reiner, 78, and Michele, 68. The Daily Mail has reported that Romy, who lives just across the street, was born in 1997. That makes her 28 years old. She was the pair's youngest daughter, while her brother, Nick, is 32 years old. A spokesperson for the family confirmed their deaths in a statement to the outlet: 'It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner,' they said. 'We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time.' The LAPD has also confirmed that the deaths are being treated as homicides, and there was a fleet of cops at the late pair's sprawling estate on Sunday evening. In a press conference, LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton said that a suspect had yet to be named, and that no one was taken into custody. 'We’re going to try to speak to every family member that we can to get to the facts of this investigation,' Hamilton continued.He also said that the bodies were still at home, as cops were awaiting a warrant to begin their investigation. Hamilton further confirmed that the scene of the crime was as is after cops arrived and discovered the bodies.
