More about Ryan Destiny's early life and career, as actress announces engagement to Keith Powers

Ryan Destiny was born in Detroit, Michigan, on January 8, 1995. Not much is known about her mother, Dawn Irons, but according to Detroit News, her father, Deron Irons was previously part of the 1990s R&B duo, Guess. Back in 2011, Destiny was selected from thousands to attend the red carpet premiere of Justin Bieber's concert film, "Never Say Never." She attended West Bloomfield High School, and, after graduating, began pursuing a full-time career in entertainment.

She had, in fact, pursued a career while still a teenager and formed a girl band called Love Dollhouse when she was just twelve, along with two other girls. The group, although disbanded, had even signed to a label and released a single in 2014. Talking about the group disbanding, she said:

“It was a nice run we had. But we all felt it was just time.”

In 2017, Destiny was cast in the role of Alexandra Crane in the Fox TV show "Star." In her interview with Detroit News, Ryan Destiny said:

“I wasn’t really sure if I wanted to audition for it. I was kind of nervous. I had been in an actual girl group before, and I wasn’t sure how that was going to play out on TV. They want a lot of drama-filled stuff, and I was kind of turned away by that. But I filled them in to my vision, and I kept getting callbacks.”

According to her IMDB Profile, Destiny has been nominated for three Teen Choice Awards. Some of the other projects she has been involved in include "Grown-ish," "The Lower Bottoms," "The Fire Inside," "Oracle "and others.

Apart from her acting career, Destiny has also pursued music as a solo artist and has released several singles, including, "Lie Like That," "How Many," "How Your Hands Feel," among others. At the moment, neither she nor Keith Powers have divulged any information regarding their upcoming wedding.
