How did Saoirse Ronan and Jack Lowden meet? Ladybird star expecting first baby with husband

According to a recent article by People, actress Saoirse Ronan is expecting her first baby with her husband, Jack Lowden.

As per a photograph obtained by The Daily Mail, Ronan was seen walking through the streets of Islington in London with her dog Fran and a baby bump.

Ronan and Jack Lowden met each other for the first time during the shoot of the movie Mary Queen of Scots. Ronan played the role of Queen Mary in the movie, and Lowden played the role of her love interest, Lord Darnley.

While our soon-to-be mother, Ronan, was spotted in comfortable black clothing, Lowden was donned in dark-colored gym clothes.

Saoirse Ronan and Jack Lowden met for the first time on the sets of the movie Mary Queen of Scots, in which Ronan played the role of Queen Mary and Lowden played the role of Lord Darnley.

During a panel with AOL in December 2018, Lowden revealed how impressed he was with his now-wife's acting skills at the time.

During the primary years of the relationship, the couple chose to keep their relationship private. The couple used to often point-blank and refuse to comment in interviews when asked about their relationship status.

In September 2020, photographs of Ronan and Lowden hanging out near Ronan's London home were published by The Daily Mail. In October 2021, Lowden was also seen supporting Ronan after finishing a production of Macbeth.

In 2022, Saoirse Ronan also opened up to People about Lowden's talent and that the couple has similar tastes.

"I know when he says something's working, it really is, because he doesn't ever sugarcoat anything. So I think that really helps, having someone that you really trust. And he's a sort of typical Scot, where if there's a problem, he's the first one to try and solve it."

Ronan and Lowden sparked engagement rumors in October 2023. Saoirse Ronan had stepped out with a diamond ring in her hand at the Louis Vuitton Women's Wear Spring-Summer 2021 fashion show in Paris. Lowden had also posted a picture of Saoirse Ronan's hand, which he later deleted.

In July 2024, Ronan and Jack Lowden tied the knot in a private ceremony in Edinburgh, as per Scottish civil marriage registry records reviewed by People.

As per the Irish Independent, the ceremony was quite a private one, with very few guests invited. All the guests were sworn to secrecy during the ceremony, which took place at the Edinburgh Central Registrar's Office.

Ronan has not shied away from showing that the couple is thinking about expanding the family. In her latest photographs, Ronan was seen wearing a black silk strappy dress, which looked quite elegant as well as sophisticated.
