Douglas Malo shared an update on Syko Stu after Raja Jackson’s in-ring assault. According to Malo, Syko Stu, whose real name is Stuart Smith, is conscious and communicating from his hospital bed.
Douglas shared with TMZ Sports, "[Stu] remembers mostly what happened during the early parts of the day. He's talking a little bit. He's alert. He's still got some injuries that are very serious. Not, like, life-threatening serious, but, facial injuries, stuff like that."

"I'm pissed at what he did to my friend. I'm pissed for him punching me in the face. I'm pissed for him that when I went to take him off and told him to calm down, he tried to double leg me," Malo further elaborated.
A GoFundMe is designed to help cover medical expenses as Smith continues his road to recovery, and fans and supporters have stepped up by donating around $150K. YouTuber MrBeast donated $10K, while wrestling superstar Chris Jericho gave $2,500, among others.
Douglas Malo saves Syko Stu
Douglas Malo was one of the wrestlers who helped restrain Rampage Jackson's son, Raja Jackson, in the now-viral kick fight. In the staged fight between Raja and the California-based wrestler, things took a turn when Jackson seemed to escalate the whole situation as he delivered a series of 20-plus punches on Syko Stu after an apparent knockout.
Malo, one of the handful of wrestlers who had to hold Raja back, shared the entire sequence of events according to his point of view on the Scaling Up Podcast.
"I just got done with my match. I was blown up, took the heat, did the s***," Malo said. "Then I get a whisper by somebody, 'Hey, something is not right. I might need you to go out there and check a scenario. This guy's going to do a spot.' When does the spot happen? 'We'll let you know.' You want to let me know, but you're not telling me when the cue is, when the spot's supposed to happen? You're just going to let me know just in case?
"So I'm stuck waiting for this cue. I walk up to somebody with the radio. 'Hey, talk to the back, when do you guys want me to go? What's happening?' I was informed about the beer can incident shortly before that, they told me they made up and shook hands, hugged it out multiple times, so it was going to be fine. Just wanted to make sure.
"I see the slam. I see the first punch, second punch — and by then, I've got people in front of me, and I just start moving. I kind of wish I would have sprung on the slam. ... I just went in there to stop it at first because I was in shock. I saw Stu, I saw the punches, it felt like slow motion."
“I think he would have killed him,” Malo added. “I promise you, he would have killed him.”
The whole ordeal stemmed from an earlier altercation between the two wrestlers wherein Syko Stu, who was working in-character backstage, smashed a beer can on Jackson's head on a livestream after exchanging a few words.
