Former football quarterback Tom Brady made an interesting revelation about his pet Junie. The ex-NFL star had a pitbull dog named Lua, who passed away in 2023. Brady has been an investor in Colossal Biosciences, a company that works in the field of genetic engineering. According to a report by People Magazine, his present pet Junie is a clone of Lua, thanks to the efforts of Colossal Biosciences.

The company collected a sample of Lua’s blood before she died and used it to clone Junie. Meanwhile, in a statement to the outlet, Brady said:

“I love my animals. They mean the world to me and my family. A few years ago, I worked with Colossal and leveraged their non-invasive cloning technology through a simple blood draw of our family's elderly dog before she passed.”

He mentioned that Colossal Biosciences gave his family the opportunity to be with their late pet. Tom Brady also added that the company not only helped people who lost their fur babies but also helped in protecting animals that are endangered.

The former football quarterback was previously married to model Gisele Bündchen. When Lua died in December 2023, she shared several photos on social media. In one of the posts, she wrote:

“Our little Lulu, our guardian angel is gone to heaven. She will forever live in our hearts. We already miss her sooooo much! #unconditionallove RIPLua.”

At the time, Tom Brady also remembered Lua in one of his Instagram stories, writing:

“We love you Lua, RIP.”

When Tom Brady got bitten by a dog

In 2018, while speaking at a Super Bowl event, Tom Brady looked back on when he got bitten by a dog. As seen in the video posted on YouTube by Fanatics View, he said that he was once bitten by a dog when he was in a stadium where a military training was going on. He said:

“Some military members that do some training that they needed to do and I was able to witness it at night it was during training camp and we got a chance to go in the field after and meet a lot of the guys and we're gonna take a kind of a team picture their team and then there was a few of us that went out there.”

Tom Brady went on to say:

“I was kind of close to all the guys and didn't realize there was dogs and obviously those weren't you know like Labradors you know those were tough dogs and I raised my arms up like you know over my head and when I raised my arm up the dog jumped up and I guess was going for my neck and the guy grabbed the dog back down and the dog got my thigh on the way down.”

When the people around him asked if he was fine, Brady said he was but could feel the cut. However, he didn’t tell them anything, even though he was in pain.
