Tyler Henry, or as some refer to him as the "Hollywood Medium," is giving fans a reality check on his health after brain surgery. Tyler gave updates on his recovery from a non-cancerous brain tumor in a July 2025 interview with E!News.

After he was operated on, these symptoms disappeared, and even just a month later, Tyler said he felt much better. He added that the reduction in swelling of the brain enabled him to feel more focused when reading. In an Instagram post he uploaded on May 15, 2025, after his brain surgery, he wrote,

Brain surgery was a success! Great prognosis, incredible staff, and I feel so thankful to be surrounded by my family. I’ll be on bedrest for a month and look forward to getting back to doing readings.

This was not the first brain surgery for Tyler. He also had a similar procedure at the age of 18. Currently, after having the second surgery, he is again touring, giving live performances and readings in groups across the country.

In the July 2025 interview with E!News, he told journalist Franceska Amiker,

"I had been diagnosed previously with some form of a mass in the back of my brain," he shared. "When I was 18, I underwent brain surgery—then endoscopically—and it took about 10 years for it come back after it resealed. So, it was nothing new necessarily."

Tyler also added that his physicians were successful in removing most of the cyst. Following surgery, the pressure inside his brain decreased, and he started feeling better. The swelling subsided, and he regained the ability to think clearly and talk.

In the interview with E!News, he mentioned,

"I was worried with anything related to the brain that it might affect my ability...but I found that not having brain inflammation actually made things a lot clearer."

Prior to the surgery, Tyler noticed that something was amiss. He described feeling groggy and unable to construct coherent thoughts. These problems made it more difficult for him to complete his tasks. But ever since the surgery, his symptoms have subsided, and he claims to feel more in his right mind than ever before.

He told Francesca that he was,

"dealing with a lot of confusing symptoms, just kind of hard to orient physically...I would sometimes feel kind of slow in responses and deal with aphasia...where I couldn't really find my words."
