Veteran broadcaster and renowned media personality, Howard Stern, might not be the biggest fan of Alex Cooper, host of the popular podcast Call Her Daddy.
The 71-year-old celebrated radio personality, Stern's reported animosity towards 30-year-old Cooper comes after she became one of the biggest stars of SiriusXM, as she signed a multi-million dollar deal with the leading audio entertainment company, last year, per Forbes Magazine.
Stern has been married to Beth Ostronsky Stern since 2008 and is the father of three daughters: Ashley, Emily, and Deborah. While he began his radio stint when he was studying at Boston University in the mid-70s, Stern professionally began his career in 1985 when he landed a job at WXRK-FM in New York City.
Howard Stern, who has had a long radio career, allegedly cannot stand the young podcaster, Alex Cooper, per an exclusive report by The US Sun, which was published on August 7.
According to an insider source, as reported by the outlet, Howard Stern's animosity towards Alex Cooper is so intense and serious that executives at SiriusXM made it a point that the two personalities do not come across one another when Cooper is in New York.
The insider source explained and said:
"She's (Alex Cooper) the one that bugs him. She gets hundreds of millions of hits, she has this mega $125 million deal, and he hates that this young bubbly woman is the big new thing. That's who they have to keep Howard away from when she comes to New York."
Alex Cooper first gained public attention when she started her Call Her Daddy podcast in 2018, along with her co-host Sofia Franklin. At the time, they focused on discussing topics like relationships. Eventually, Cooper rose to major fame in 2021 after signing a contract with Spotify.
Alex Cooper, who has 1.65 million subscribers on her YouTube channel and 5.3 million followers on Instagram, reportedly signed the multi-million dollar deal with SiriusXM in 2024, following her exit from Spotify. The insider source stated that it is because of young podcasters like Cooper that the giants are leaving radio jockeys like Howard Stern behind.
The insider added:
"It's completely turned Howard's world upside down. He's been in radio 40 years, and this change has really shocked everyone. Alex and Joe Rogan, these massive podcasters, have traditional radio guys stunned."
The source further added:
"She's female, she's the next generation. That's the future. iHeartRadio is desperately trying to find someone like that."
Howard Stern's SiriusXM show rumoured to be canceled

Several outlets reported on August 5, 2025, that Howard Stern's show on SiriusXM is about to be canceled as the audio entertainment company might not fulfill his financial demands. Stern's present contract with SiriusXM is about to expire this year in the fall.
Another insider source told The Sun:
"Stern's contract is up in the fall, and while Sirius is planning to make him an offer, they don't intend for him to take it. Sirius and Stern are never going to agree on the money he is going to want. It's no longer worth the investment."
However, SiriusXM will try to work out a deal to hold on to Stern's show library, according to the source, as they added:
"But as far as him coming back to doing the show, there's no way they can keep paying his salary."
While referring to the current financial struggles of the media industry, the source further said:
"After you saw what happened with Stephen Colbert, it's like they just can't afford to keep him going."
However, there have been no official announcements regarding the possible cancellation as yet.
