While Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were unable to make their relationship last, the silver lining is that they have managed to establish a strong foundation from which they can co-parent.

On May 23, during an appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose Live Tour in Hollywood, Florida, Jonas addressed his relationship with ex-wife Turner in a rare moment of openness from someone who is generally very private about his personal life.

“I have a beautiful coparenting relationship that I'm really grateful for. Having an incredible mom, Sophie, for those girls is like a dream come true.”

Although they are no longer together, the two will be forever connected due to their children. In that context, this seems like an increasingly healthy environment for their children, after the initial stages of their break-up which were far more volatile.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner co-parenting children post split

In the same appearance with Shetty, Jonas elaborated further on his appreciation for Turner, and her role in their children’s lives.

“As young girls, looking up to great women is what I want for them. I think what values I want for them are to be open-minded and have a big heart, be able to walk into any room and feel confidence, and know that they can do literally anything they want.”

The former couple share two daughters, Delphine and Willa. Like many celebrities nowadays, they have never shared photos of their daughters on social media, and are extremely mindful about keeping their daughters out of the public eye for now.

Jonas initially filed for divorce in September 2023, in a move initiating what initially looked like it could become an ugly custody battle. After a fair share of uncertainty and mutually reciprocal hostility, cooler heads have prevailed and the two are working in lockstep to ensure the best for their girls.

A source close to the couple shared some perspective,

“They turned things around from the initial messy custody battle. They are friendly and great co-parents now."

To that point, Sophie recently extended her support to Joe via social media when he released his latest project, Music for People Who Believe in Love. She uploaded the LP cover and streaming link to her Instagram Stories with the message, "Go go @joejonas”. The very public co-sign is another sign that their relationship is on the mend, an ideal situation for their children.
