Tia Mowry, 46, has been in the public eye since her appearance in the sitcom "Sister, Sister," which debuted in 1994. In the latest news, she announced that she is ready to move on from her reality series "Tia Mowry: My Next Act" after its first season. When interviewed on the red carpet at this year’s BET Awards, Tia Mowry confirmed that the show was always intended to last for one season.
“It was a limited one-time run. It was kind of like a docuseries for me. Again, it was about the inspiration right behind it. My goal was for women to not necessarily feel like they are alone.”
Mowry continued,
“So I just wanted to open up my world just for a little bit and just share some vulnerability and vulnerable moments. But I'm very proud of what we did, and I can close that chapter and now onto the next.”
The series was produced through WeTV, a subsidiary of AMC Networks.

Tia Mowry’s WeTV reality series, future projects
Tia Mowry’s reality series captured her ups and downs after her divorce from Cory Hardict, following 14 years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in April 2023, and she shared the news on social media through a post on her Instagram feed.
The show also depicts Tia Mowry juggling motherhood and co-parenting her children while focusing on her career and newfound sense of individuality. In a conversation with PEOPLE in February, Mowry shared,
"Everything that I do, I'm intentional when it comes to my why, so I'm all about empowerment, all about inspiring, all about just helping, educating in any way that I can.”
When asked about her show’s 2025 NAACP Image Awards nomination, a humbled Tia Mowry shared,
"It really touched my soul that this show was and has been received, noticed, heard and supported. I’m just grateful."
As for future work, the actress has left the door slightly ajar for a Sister, Sister revival, which is thrilling news for fans of the popular ’90s show. However, she voiced some concerns about revisiting the project many years later.
"So I'm like, okay, never say never, but it was such a great show and I wouldn't want to mess it up in any kind of way. It's a classic."
Hopefully, this next phase of her life will be as fruitful for her and her family as the previous ones.
