As per a recent article by US Weekly, popular American television personality Jon Gosselin recently revealed that he is blocked by an ex-partner on social media.
Gosselin took the opportunity and made the announcement via a TikTok video, which he posted on Saturday, August 09.
"Just found out, somebody did block me. It was my ex [who blocked me]. I can’t see anything! Not that I was looking or anything, but I find it very interesting.” Gosselin said in the TikTok video
Jon Gosselin quickly clarified that it was a previous partner of his whom he was mentioning in the video.
The cryptic remarks from the former star were made only days after his ex-wife Kate Gosselin revealed that she had joined TikTok. Several fans speculated that Jon might have been subtly alluding to Kate blocking him on TikTok.
"I was trying to decide who to follow- I’m thinking Kate now. content seems to be better” A viewer commented to the video. To this Gosselin kept his calm and replied“Bye, its all good.”
Some fans questioned the legitimacy of Kate Gosselin's TikTok account, to which she confirmed that it was her own account and said she would not be posting much about dogs and her and Jon Gosselin's eight children.
"Hi guys. A lot of you are wondering if this is actually me and my account. I just [hopped on] really quick [to] let you know that this is actually my account. I’m just waiting for TikTok to verify it. So, if you’re wondering, if you’re checking out, and I don’t blame you, because I do it too, know that it is my account.” Kate told her fans.
Kate Gosselin further said about posting photos and videos of family and friends.
"There's going to be a lot of dogs on it and kids, but mostly dogs and me. I’m in my German Shepherd dog mom era. Is that how they say it? You know what I mean. Anyway, it’s me. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks.”
About Jon Gosselin and his ex-wife Kate Gosselin
Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin met each other in 1997 and got married in 1998. They share a total of eight children.
The couple announced their split in 2009, and the divorce was a nasty one. There were allegations circulating prior to the split that Jon had been having an affair for three months before Kate found out.
The popular TLC documentary series Jon & Kate Plus 8, which ran in different iterations from 2007 to 2017, followed the Gosselins as they raised their eight children. Jon Gosselin and Kate are parents of sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel, age 21, as well as twins Mady and Cara, aged 24.

After the split, their program was renamed Kate Plus 8 the following year. When Jon Gosselin was appointed main guardian of Hannah and Collin in 2018, he acknowledged that a gulf had formed with some of his children after the TLC series concluded.
After three years together, Jon Gosselin announced the news that he was engaged to Stephanie Lebo in November 2024. Later on, he pledged to invite all of his children, even the ones he didn't currently communicate with, to the wedding.
