Seeing as her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, have made it out of prison, Savannah Chrisley has huge travel plans in the works.
The 27-year-old spoke exclusively to People Magazine about what she plans to do next, now that her parents have been released from incarceration after securing a presidential pardon from Donald Trump. Reflecting on why it’s now or never when it comes to traveling the world, she told the outlet:
"It literally is about redefining myself and finding out who I am. And I've always wanted to do this. And I was like, well, chances are probably not going to accomplish it. But now my mom and dad are home. I most certainly can do that. So I would love to travel and just kind of redefine myself."
Savannah Chrisley reveals her forthcoming plans to tour the world as her father claims he was wronged:
Savannah Chrisley, a 27-year-old influencer, is most known for rallying for her parents to be pardoned from prison. Despite maintaining their innocence, they were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud three years ago. While Todd had been sentenced to 12 years behind bars, his wife had secured a seven-year stint.
The Mirror has pointed out that the couple were also ordered to shell out $17.8 million in restitution. Todd and Julie served two years of their time before President Trump issued them a full and unconditional pardon this Tuesday, allowing them to go home on Wednesday, May 28.
Savannah plans to travel to 30 countries before turning 30
Now, Savannah Chrisley—who will be celebrating her 28th birthday come August—is revisiting her dream of traveling to 30 countries before she turns 30. The Chrisley Knows Best alum also revealed that she might document her journey for TV:
"I was just talking with a production company, potentially about doing a separate show for it. Just traveling to 30 countries with my best friends and exploring the cultures and the different religions and having fun," Chrisley explained.
As for how many countries she has been to so far, Savannah Chrisley said it’s “only” nine or ten.
As reported by The Mirror, shortly after they were released, Todd Chrisley claimed he and his wife had been victims of a corrupt prosecution. He swore that he would back up these allegations with receipts in an upcoming television show:
"We're blessed to have our family back, and we're blessed to be coming back to television because we have a much bigger story to tell now than we ever have," he said.
As for whether his fame had anything to do with President Trump bestowing a presidential pardon upon him and his wife, he said:
"It's not something you can look at and say that had nothing to do with it. I don't know if it did or it didn't."
Chase Chrisley, 28, also reflected on his parents’ newfound freedom as he told the New York Post:
"I am grateful to God and extremely grateful to President Trump and his entire administration. I’m beyond thankful to finally have my parents back home and my family together again!"
Kyle Chrisley, Todd Chrisley’s estranged son from a previous marriage, also spoke to E! News about the same, noting that he was “ecstatic.”
"Truly. I just found out a little bit ago and I still just can’t believe it," the 33-year-old noted.
Savannah Chrisley’s parents had been petitioning for a presidential pardon since February.
