Emma Watson's body double is speaking up about her experiences while filming Harry Potter in 2001.

Flick Miles, now 35 years old, was cast as Emma Watson's body double when she was 9. According to People Magazine, at the time, someone pointed out that she looked similar to the former child star, who embodied the role of Hermione Granger. From there, it didn't take long before she was cast onscreen.

Speaking with the outlet in an exclusive interview, Miles reflected on going to school on set alongside the other child actors and stepping in for scenes. Over two decades later, the memories may be fuzzy for Miles, but she can always tell who's who when she sees the films:

"I've just forgotten stuff over time, but when the films first came out, I could tell when scenes were me because you remember filming it, and the shot never results in seeing Emma's face. I would know that's me, and I'd know I've been there."

Flick Miles recounts her most famous scene as a stunt double for Emma Watson in the Harry Potter franchise:

In her interview with the outlet, Flick Miles reflected on her most famous scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It was when Emma Watson's Hermione accidentally turned into a feline when she ingested some polyjuice potion. For Miles, having to wear full-body makeup was a lot of "fun":

"They used me for that part, which was a bit different," she reveals. "Emma slightly reacted to the glue they used to fix the makeup on. I got an amazing experience working with the creature effects team, and filming that scene was fun."

She went on:

"We had to do a few show-and-tells, and they had different colors of cats because initially, they had this most beautiful ginger cat that was red and gorgeous. Director Chris Columbus said, 'No, that is a way too pretty cat. This character is going to have a gray cat, slightly like a less gorgeous look.' "

According to the outlet, Flick Miles served as Emma Watson's body double for the first three films of the legendary franchise, though she later returned as an extra for the Yule Ball scene in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Upon finishing filming, she pursued a degree in journalism.

In the UK, the guidelines for the number of hours a child is allowed to be on set and in front of the camera are stringent. While these vary depending on the child's age, they typically stay on set for up to 8-10 hours. Hence, filmmakers frequently use body doubles for scenes where the child actor's face is not visible, allowing them to work around schedules.
