NFL legends Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski recently shared a hilarious moment at the Fanatics Fest held in New York City. As per Clutch Points, Brady jokingly tossed a replica of the Lombardi Trophy toward Gronkowski, and though Gronkowski caught the trophy, it broke in his hands.
Michael Rubin, the CEO of digital sports platform Fanatics, posted a video of the incident on his Instagram page. In the video, Brady and Gronkowski are seen conversing with each other as they try to pin the blame on the other. Gronkowski, in whose hands the trophy broke, is seen to be saying,
“I didn’t break it! You threw it way too hard.”

The caption of the video on Instagram aptly read:
“At least @tombrady and @gronk have a few more of those 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆”
As per People Magazine, Tom Brady has won 7 Lombardi trophies in his career, which is an unbroken record in the NFL. Rob Gronkowski, who was Brady’s teammate for a significant portion of his career, has won 4.

Tom Brady announced his retirement from professional football twice. He first decided to retire at the end of his 22nd NHL Season. However, he recalled his decision and returned to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for his 23rd season. Brady’s 23rd season ended up being his last in the NFL. In February 2023, Brady announced through his social media page that he was retiring “for good.”
