Maggie Baugh's father is addressing the relationship rumours between his daughter and Keith Urban.

For those unaware, the BBC reported earlier this week that Kidman has filed for divorce from Urban after nearly 2 decades of marriage. The news comes at a time when TMZ and multiple other outlets have reported that Urban and Baugh might have a romantic connection.

The rumours quickly spread online after an April 2025 video gained traction online. In the video, the country singer can be seen sharing flirty banter with his guitarist, as per Page Six.

Now Maggie Baugh's father, Chuck Baugh, is addressing these rumours. On Thursday, Baught told The Daily Mail,

“I don’t know anything about it, other than she’s a guitar player for him,” he said.

“It’s more of a musician thing than a dating thing,” he remarked, before admitting he “hadn’t heard one way or the other.”

According to a report by Us Weekly, published on October 2, 2025, newly surfaced footage showed Keith Urban pointing toward his 25-year-old guitarist before singing, “I was born to love you.” The clip, filmed in April, resurfaced just days after his wife Nicole Kidman filed for divorce on September 30. Kidman ended her 19-year marriage to the 57-year-old country star, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Only days earlier, on September 27, Urban had sparked speculation by changing the lyrics of his hit The Fighter to reference guitarist Maggie Baugh, even though the song had originally been written about Nicole Kidman. TMZ later uncovered additional footage from Urban’s Las Vegas performance at Mandalay Bay in the spring, which showed him gesturing toward Maggie Baugh before lowering his hand at the line “born to love you.”

The video also revealed another lyric change:

“Maggie, I’ll be your fighter.”

In September, Urban once again altered the lyrics during a live show, singing,

“When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”

That clip appeared on Baugh’s Instagram with the caption, “Did he just say that?” Three days after the post, Kidman filed for divorce.

According to The Hamilton County Reporter, Maggie Baugh spent most of the year on tour across the United States and parts of Europe. When asked how many states she had already visited, she replied,

“I’ve been on tour since February. So I mean, everywhere. Cue the song ‘I’ve Been Everywhere,’ man.”

Baugh’s music journey began in early childhood. She started classical violin training at six years old and later began singing at 12. By 13, she was traveling regularly to Nashville and experimenting with songwriting. That same year, she released her first record.

Raised in South Florida, Baugh explained that the region’s year-round festival circuit gave her the chance to perform widely. She toured throughout the state and into Virginia before relocating to Nashville at 18 to continue her career.

“Last year I was on tour with Keith Urban and it’s been a crazy wild journey, man,” she told the outlet.

Maggie Baugh opens up about family, music, and viral fame

According to The Hamilton County Reporter, Maggie Baugh did not grow up in a musical family.

“Nobody in my family plays music, I’m literally the only one. Isn’t that crazy? I’m the oddball. My dad is a microbiologist, and my mom is a stay-at-home mom who runs a dog training business on the side,” she shared.

Away from the spotlight, Baugh described herself as a “closet dork.”

“I try to come off like this badass human, but let me tell you, I am a knucklehead, I am such a dork. I love reading books. I spend a lot of my time thrifting and hanging out with friends, so I’m a closet dork. Don’t even get me started. I’ll go to a Barnes & Noble all day,” she explained.

Even with those quirks, she emphasized that music remained her greatest passion.

“I’m just so lucky that I get to call music my job, I literally get to see so many amazing things and see so many things that people dream about. And I don’t take a single day of it for granted,” shared Baugh.

Baugh found viral fame on TikTok through her Finish the Lick series, which drew 40 million views. Still, she insisted that success for her was not measured by numbers on a screen but by live audiences.

“It’s so crazy to me because I’m not the kind of person that looks online and sees all these numbers and thinks, ‘Oh my God, I’m a viral person, I can measure success - for me - by the bodies out in the audience. I’m such an entertainer. I love being on stage. I love touring. My definition of success is when I see a bunch of people out in the audience cheering,” she explained.
