"I don’t know what it's about boys" - Kelly Clarkson shares her mom hack for getting her son to brush his teeth

On the most recent May 29 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, actress Jessica Biel served as Kelly’s featured guest. Among other things, the pair eventually began traded parenting tips unique to how they respond to their children’s needs. At one point, Biel shared that she sometimes eats in the shower to save time, and Clarkson shared that she used the shower as a way of convincing her son to brush his teeth all while lamenting about masculine energy,

"I don’t know what it's about boys.”

The pair had a light-hearted and informative talk that was definitely an entertaining watch, including a revealing discussion about Biel’s upcoming The Better Sister which will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

On the topic of her son Remy’s brushing, Clarkson provided Biel and her audience with a detailed depiction of what an ordeal it used to be.

“So I have a boy and a girl. And my boy and I have a real hard time. He's gonna hate me saying this, I don't care, because maybe it'll shame him into doing it. But he just refuses to brush his teeth.”

The former American Idol winner continued,

“It's like a thing, and so finally, I was like, ‘Hey, let's make a fun thing of it.’ So I was in the shower, I'm like, ‘Just take your toothbrush and your toothpaste in the shower. You can be messy. You can do whatever,’ ”

Fortunately, her tactics were successful as she went on to share,

"So now he's brushing his teeth, if you need help.”

Still, she made a point to go out of her way to illustrate how different it is with her daughter,

“My girl is always like, ‘Oh yeah, of course, I did that.’ Like I'm an idiot that I asked her. And then my son, he's just like, ‘Yeah, I totally did.’ And I'm like, ‘You're lying. Let me smell your breath.’”

Biel who has two sons, Silas and Phineas with Justin Timberlake was quick to support Clarkson’s views, “Yeah, no, for sure.”

Clarkson has two children, Remy (short for Remington) and daughter River Rose who she shared with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. Clarkson has featured her children on her show several times and frequently brings them up in conversations with her guests.

The star talk show host has also recently mentioned that she’s hopeful that she’ll find love again although her children are currently her main focus.
