Kylie Jenner has just ventured into music. The American media personality and socialite dropped her debut single, Fourth Strike, a collaboration with Terror Jr., and is now considering music as a full-time career. In a Q&A video shared to YouTube on October 16, Jenner opened up about creating music and said,
"Well, you know, this is like, my dream. I've been talking about this since I came out of the womb. I wanted to be a pop star - or, I don't know what I am. But I just never had the confidence. I always wanted to try to see if I can do it. The first recording session I was really nervous. I had, like three margaritas - or vodka sodas, actually."
While talking about her music skills, Kylie said,
"I don't think I'm like Adele or anything."
While talking about considering music as a career, Kylie said,
"I hope so. I would love to try...I don't want it to end. And I think, why not? I think we should try. Let's like, make an album. And if we're not feeling it, we'll just listen to it ourselves."
More about Kylie Jenner's music career
Kylie Jenner's recent release, Fourth Strike, is not the first time she has ventured into music. Jenner was earlier linked to Terror Jr in the 2010s after rumors circulated that she was the voice behind his song 3 Strikes. The track was also featured in Jenner’s campaign launch commercial.
While addressing the rumors, Kylie Jenner, while announcing the release of Fourth Strike, took to Instagram and said,
"AHHHHHH!!!!!! FOURTH STRIKE!!! terror jr ft KING KYLIE!!!!!! OUT NOW EVERYWHERE! what is happening!!! there was a little rumor 10 years ago that i was the one actually singing on 3 strikes! it wasn't me (wish it was) so i had the idea to come together for fourth strike and it would actually be ME FEATURED!"
She also thanked the artist she collaborated with on the song both times, Terror Jr., for "making another perfect song." She added that she was grateful to him for trusting her to actually feature on it and admitted she was "sooooooo nervous."
Netizens and social media users across Reddit, X, and Instagram are not happy with the track and accused Jenner of using autotune. Users also asked Jenner to stick to curating makeup products for her makeup brand and argued that the media personality should not venture into music.
