Savannah Chrisley spoke candidly on a recent episode of her Unlocked podcast, sharing her experience with liposuction during a conversation with Dr. Charlie Galanis, the plastic surgeon who performed the procedure.

The 27-year-old television personality explained that she chose to undergo liposuction after gaining weight and feeling dissatisfied with her appearance ahead of a campaign shoot. She explained why she had first reached out to Dr. Galanis.

“I hated how I looked, and I called you. It happened fast,” she shared.

Savannah Chrisley recalled their first meeting with characteristic transparency.

“I’ll just be honest here, because that’s what my life is these days. I’m just honest about everything, the way that Charlie and I met was through another plastic surgeon, because I was wanting to get some work done. You did my lipo.” Chrisley explained.

Although she did not give a specific date, Savannah Chrisley mentioned that the surgery occurred “a while ago.”

The decision, she shared, came after a challenging period in her life. Chrisley cited endometriosis, a painful condition affecting one in ten women, as a significant factor in her weight gain.

“I was going through all kinds of s— with my endometriosis, and I had taken this medication, and I gained 40 pounds, literally, in like three months. It was crazy.”

After speaking with Dr. Charlie Galanis virtually, Savannah Chrisley didn’t wait long to take the next step. She flew out to his Beverly Hills office for liposuction. She also got her mother, Julie Chrisley, along for support.

“For me, it was just, I felt like s—. I didn’t like how I looked, like, if you don’t like how you look, it doesn’t just take the toll on you physically, but emotionally and mentally.” Chrisley admitted.

Dr. Galanis, who joined her on the Unlocked podcast episode, agreed with that perspective. He emphasized that, at least in his practice, cosmetic surgery is more about how people feel afterward than the actual procedure itself. He also mentioned that Chrisley initially asked about doing several individual procedures, or “à la carte” options, before he advised a different plan.

In the weeks after surgery, Chrisley noticed the changes, and they mattered.

“When you can look in the mirror and see a difference, it, for me, (made) me want to live a healthier life, when I saw the results, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I want to keep this up!’” she shared.

Savannah Chrisley’s cosmetic journey has included both success and setbacks, something she openly addressed in the same podcast episode.

In a report shared by The Daily Mail, she recalled undergoing a rhinoplasty procedure in Beverly Hills that didn’t yield the results she expected, despite the surgeon’s reputation.

"I got my nose done by a guy in Beverly Hills, and he was known as the 'it guy.' I went and got it done and it was literally crooked," she said.
Her disappointment was clear. "I was like, this does not look good," she added, before explaining that she ultimately turned to someone closer to home. "I went to one of my dad's friends to fix it."

The second time was the charm.

"I love it, looks great," Chrisley said.

She used the experience to highlight a common misconception about cosmetic surgery.

"Just because [plastic surgery] is a certain price or just because [a doctor] has done such and such celebrity]," she said, doesn’t always mean it’ll go smoothly.

Chrisley has been upfront and honest about what she has been through, showing fans the good, the bad, and the ugly sides of it all.
