Tracy Ifeachor has become widely recognized for her portrayal of Dr. Heather Collins on HBO Max’s The Pitt. Recently, in an interview with People, Tracy shared that a lot went into filming the streaming hit, including some unfortunate sacrifices that had to be endured on the way. In Ifeachor’s case, it was her wedding ring. The actress recalls that one day after filming she returned to her trailer and,

"I didn't know what happened. It was in my room and then it just disappeared."

Tracy’s instinct was to seek comfort in a cast member, so she approached Noah Wyle to inform him of the situation. She recalled:

"I remember going up to Noah [Wyle]. I put my head on his shoulder, and I said, 'Am I still married?’”

Wyle deadpanned a measured "Yeah”, in response. Formerly a breakout star on ER, Wyle serves as an executive producer and writer in addition to starring in the show.

Once everyone on set had been alerted about the missing ring there was a concerted effort to find it from the entire production staff. Ifeachor said,

"Everyone was looking for it. We looked around my room. We checked the set."

Unfortunately it was never found, even once filming had wrapped, though she is "still hopeful" she will find it eventually.

Luckily for Tracy, she is oddly prepared for this type of blunder. She explained,

"I have two rings, so it's fine. By the way, my husband was like, 'It's just a ring. It's fine. We're still married.' He was very supportive, much more supportive than I would have been."

Thankfully her spouse has been supportive through this debacle, observing that the loss was merely material. The overwhelmingly positive response to The Pitt and her character have also softened the blow. The actress said:

"But yeah, I can say, there's blood, sweat and tears, and a wedding ring that went into season 1. I’m so glad that [the show] received the reception that it has, because it really deserves it."

Tracy also recently talked about her departure from the medical procedural in Episode 11 following her character’s miscarriage, and teased possible future storylines including a possible romantic thread between her character Dr. Collins and Wyle's Dr. Robby, an attending physician.

It was revealed in the 11th episode that the two characters already had a previous romantic relationship, that resulted in Collins having an abortion. The performances of Ifeachor and the entire cast have been warmly received by the audience.
