"I did like that" - Leighton Meester reflects on her onscreen kiss with Penn Badgley

Leighton Meester, who played the iconic character of Blair Waldorf in the popular CW show, "Gossip Girl" made a new confession about her onscreen kiss with the character of Dan Humphrey, played by Penn Badgley. She said:

"I did like that."

According to People Magazine, Leighton Meester is currently shooting the second season of "Nobody Wants This," where she is set to play the character of Abby, an high school arch rival of Kristen Bell's character Joanne.

During her interview with Bustle, Leighton Meester participated in a special segment where she had to recall the iconic lines from different characters she portrayed throughout her career. When shown a scene between Dan and Blair, a moment, where the duo, who have been developing feelings for one another, finally kiss, Meester can be seen incorrectly guessing the next part of the scene. In the Bustle video, she says:

"[He] throws up? I don’t know what I say next. Let’s think of something. ‘Pucker up, cutie!’ Do I say that?"

In the episode, the next scene actually shows Dan and Blair finally sharing a kiss. In her interview with Bustle, she explained why she enjoyed the onscreen kiss with Penn Badgley in season four, adding that she loved the fun banter between the two characters. She said:

"There was banter, but it was more like, they were keeping a secret but I don’t know – just – it’s cute.”

Back in February, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Leighton Meester talked about how she enjoys meeting younger fans, who are now getting introduced to "Gossip Girl." She said:

"Now people are like, ‘It’s vintage. Or sometimes I’m like, ‘You weren’t born yet when we started.’ There’s a lot of that. Or even when we wrapped. There’s people who are just discovering it.”

In her interview with Bustle, published on 28 May, the "Monte Carlo" actress also opened up about why she had chosen to do fewer roles. She said:

"It’s been really, very lovely to do a couple of shows where there is that feeling of: there could be a future there," she said. "But I don’t know.

She further added:

"People are always asking, ‘What do you want to do? Where do you see yourself? Where do you want to go?’ And I’m like, I don't know. I don’t know if it’s motherhood or this current situation or this business. You kind of can’t be like, ‘I know what I'm doing three years from now.’ I’m just, like, okay right now. I just feel like being in the moment and figuring it out as I go along, because that’s all we can do, you know?”
