Model and golf instructor Paige Spiranac recently opened up about her cyberbullying experience in a self-recorded video on her Instagram story. In another Instagram story, she posted a selfie and wrote:
“Hi good morning sorry for being emo last night but thank you again for all the super kind messages. I'll save my deep dark insecurities for therapy next time lol.”

According to The New York Post, Paige Spiranac posted a DM received from a netizen, who wrote:
“I f***ing hate you. You stupid b**** think you’re so much better than everyone at the internet invitational. Go kill yourself you stupid c***.”
She began the video by thanking everyone for their kind and heartfelt messages. Spiranac said she did not prefer doing the video, but the hatred became too much for her to handle. The 32-year-old model also revealed that she struggled socially for a long time, like making friends, connecting with people, and understanding social cues, etc. Paige Spiranac said:
“I am just not effortlessly like a Robbie Berger or like a Chaz, like it’s just hard for me in big groups of people. So, at the Internet Invitational, I was really excited because I felt like I could fit in in the industry and like be there for my team and show up and I was doing spreadsheets and I was doing all this stuff and I was really excited about it.”
Paige Spiranac said the cyberbullying brought back her childhood insecurities
Paige Spiranac said that it was difficult for her to see such a reaction. However, she acknowledged that there were other important issues to deal with besides being liked. Despite that, she agreed that she wanted to be liked and “fit in.” She went on to say:
“I have tried for a lot of my life to find places where I can fit in, and when I was at the Internet Invitational, I felt really good. I felt like I showed up for my team and I was doing my job and I was competitive and it was nice to feel that way.”
She mentioned that the messages brought back her childhood insecurities. Spiranac said all these led her to believe that everybody still disliked her. Reflecting on the difficulty of such situations, she said that in one moment she felt good and in the next moment, it all seemed like an illusion. Paige Spiranac said:
“There are so many great storylines and people and I feel like there’s so many people who are having breakout moments which is really really cool to see.”
The social media star took to her X account recently, where she shared a photo of herself from the Internet Invitational. The post had a one-second video of her wearing a skirt, which Paige Spiranac said would be her outfit for the next episode.
