Ariana Grande has achieved a significant milestone in her acting career. The singer and actress secured her second consecutive Golden Globe nomination for her role as Glinda in Wicked: For Good.

Wicked: For Good, featuring Ariana Grande, is the second film in the two-part adaptation of the hit Broadway musical. Notably, this latest recognition places Ariana Grande among a relatively small number of performers who have been nominated for the same role in back-to-back years.

During a recent interview, Ariana Grande opened up about the latest Golden Globe nomination. Ariana Grande explained to The Hollywood Reporter that she did not expect another nomination, saying:

"It is definitely just as exciting [as last year's nomination] and kind of blindsiding. You don't expect something like this, let alone [for it] to happen twice for the same role. So I am just deeply honored. Iam just really moved by it."

Ariana Grande also added:

"There are a few things floating around in my head, but I would love to do theater as well, and it is something that I am excited about. I think as someone who started on Broadway, I would love to be on stage in that way again, and exercise a different muscle and continue to tell stories in different ways. I am so lucky to be here, and I love acting. It is really fun."

An official Instagram post was made regarding Ariana Grande's 2026 Golden Globe nomination. It read:

"Ariana Grande has been nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Female Actor in a Motion Picture"

Alongside co-star Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande is now part of the first pair of actors to be nominated consecutively for the same roles from the same film series

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Ariana Grande shared:

"Something that I was so grateful for last year was that I just felt really present, and I was so excited to meet so many actors that I really respect and whose work that I really love, and have such human conversations and positive experiences [with]. I remember meeting Kate Winslet was one of the most exciting things in the world."

Ariana Grande also spoke to Deadline about her character, Glinda, in the Wicked movies:

"The beautiful thing about Glinda is the balance between her darkness and the comedy that she uses to cover up that pain. In the first movie, it's the opposite. It’s the pain that’s underneath the surface of the comedy. So, there was plenty of room for play, and Jon [M. Chu] was really supportive and he deserves all the flowers in the world. He was so encouraging of play and just let me and Cynthia [Erivo] live in these women and whatever happens, happens."

As Ariana Grande speaks about her future projects, the singer is also preparing to kick off her Eternal Sunshine tour in 2026. A complete itinerary for Ariana Grande's upcoming trek is detailed below:
