Robert Irwin has been struggling with lengthy rehearsals and rigorous choreography on Dancing with the Stars season 34. The 21-year-old confessed to the pressure his body experiences and the measures he takes to ensure he remains healthy throughout the show. He was interviewed by PEOPLE during the premiere of Zootopia 2 and discussed how difficult competition has become.
According to him, he puts everything he has into the show every week. The rapid movement, lengthy practice periods, and one dance pattern after another have been a burden on him. In his remarks, it is obvious the extent of work being done behind the scenes.
According to Robert, he is acquiring new skills at a rapid rate. He claimed that it is an intense experience, for which he is thankful. His family also helps him on his journey, ensuring that he is given encouragement at each stage.
Robert Irwin’s health routine during the competition

Robert Irwin said the show has taken a toll on his body. He shared that he is dealing with soreness, injuries, and exhaustion.
As he put it, “I am being held together by, like, tape, and my foot’s all bandaged up.” This shows how physically demanding the show is.
To stay in shape, Robert follows a strict routine.
He said, “I’ve been doing all of the cryotherapy and the saunas and the Epsom salt baths, and, like, everything I can possibly do to try and keep my body in line.”
He explained that he is trying everything he can to keep his body steady during the season. He added that he employs multiple methods simultaneously to recover.
Even with the pain, Robert Irwin keeps a positive mindset.
He noted, “Because, woo, it’s starting to break down a little bit, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
He understands that the hard work is part of the process. He also knows that the show is temporary, so he wants to make the most of it while he can.
The emotional support behind the scenes

Robert Irwin, a fan-favorite on DWTS, has taken on many different dance styles with his partner Witney Carson since the season began in September. He said the show has pushed him in new ways. He has had to learn fast and adjust to each routine.
Robert Irwin said, “You know, the fact that you get to give yourself 100% to this process to pour everything into it, it is just such a privilege.”
He explained that being part of the show feels unreal because of how much he has grown.
He added, “I’m kind of becoming a dancer. Like, it’s a crazy, crazy thing to do in three months.”
He also spoke about the overall experience and how it has changed him.
As he put it, “It is a wild thing to step into this world and give it everything you have.” This reflects how surprising and meaningful the journey has been for him.
Robert Irwin claims that his family has been one of the best support systems during his run on DWTS. Terri Irwin, his mother, and his sister, Bindi Irwin, have made appearances during his performances. The fact that they are there has served to keep him far as the competition intensifies.
In October, Terri went on stage with him in a dance that was dedicated to her. It was, said Robert, a special moment with me. He stated that his family is what is making him move on. They are involved in demonstrating the level of closeness and attachment they have towards the show.
In November, he was also assisted by Bindi, the winner of the 2015 show, to complete a dance.
Robert Irwin said, “My family’s here with me every step of the way.”
He added that Bindi has been offering him guidance based on her own experience on DWTS.
He said, “She’s with me, and she’s giving me so much advice.”
