“I’m excited” - Sadie Sink makes her feelings known about her Avengers: Secret Wars character rumors

Avengers: Secret Wars is an upcoming superhero film and a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and will serve as a sequel to Avengers: Doomsday.

Sadie Sink is starring in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and will also reportedly reprise her role in Avengers: Secret Wars. Recently, the young actress spoke about the rumors surrounding her character in the film.

"I’m excited for all of it to maybe be put to rest.”

Sadie Sink talks about Avengers: Secret Wars

A week ago, it was reported that Sadie Sink has joined the cast of Avengers: Secret Wars. The actress will reportedly return as her character from Spider-Man: Brand New Day. In an interview with EW, the Stranger Things star spoke about the rumors around her character in these two films. Talking about her red hair, she said

"A lot of people forget that hair color can change, but yeah, I understand all of the theories. People will just have to wait and see. I’m excited for all of it to maybe be put to rest.”

When asked if she's playing the role of the X-Men superhero Jean Grey, Sink said:

“That was happening before I even knew that I would be working on this project. I was like, ‘Wait! What are people talking about?'”

Sink is set to star in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which will release on July 31, 2026. The film will star Tom Holland, Zendaya, Mark Ruffalo, Jacob Batalon, Liza Colón-Zayas, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando, Marvin Jones III, and Tramell Tillman.

The actress is also expected to appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, which is being helmed by the Russos. The film will be a sequel to Doomsday, which marks their return to the director's chair after 2019's Endgame. The movie is written by Stephen McFeely and Michael Wandron. It's produced by the Russos and Kevin Feige.

Secret Wars will be a part of the MCU's Phase Six and will be released theatrically on December 17, 2027. Sink recently appeared in the post-apocalyptic musical drama O'Dessa. She is also reprising her role as Max in Netflix's Stranger Things, which will be concluding with its fifth season.
