Amy Schumer is starting over on Instagram. The 44-year-old comedian shocked her fans as she removed all her old photos and posted only one new one on November 11, 2025. Her new post showed her in a red Valentino heart mini dress made of silk wool and Chanel shoes.

She wrote, “I actually left my house tonight. Who’s proud? I’m feeling good and happy. Deleted my old pics for no reason!”

Before posting her new photo, Schumer shared an image of her very first Instagram post on her Stories.

“My first ever insta post. I’m gonna erase them all cause why not?” she wrote.

The decision appeared spontaneous and lighthearted, reflecting her easygoing approach to social media.

The clean slate came shortly after Amy Schumer shared updates about her fitness and health journey.

Just weeks before, on October 30, she posted a carousel of images saying, “I’m feeling strong and like myself.”

Her followers have watched her journey over the past few years, from discussing her health struggles to embracing her progress.

Amy Schumer’s decision to start fresh

Amy Schumer’s choice to delete her Instagram history came as a surprise to many fans.

She did not offer a specific reason, writing only, “Deleted my old pics for no reason.”

This informal remark suggested that her decision wasn’t about publicity or controversy; it was simply something she wanted to do for herself. The comedian has always been a person who uses humor to reach her audience, and this was not an exception. She told her followers in her light tone that people sometimes make changes without any deeper meaning in her post. The choice she made appeared to be a matter of her feelings rather than what she needed to show.

Amy Schumer can also be representing a new life in her personal life by beginning afresh. The recent years have been full of health issues, attitudes to body image, and self-acceptance.

In earlier interviews, she spoke about the importance of feeling well, saying, “I’m enjoying how I look, but man it is all about how you feel.”

Amy Schumer has been open about her health journey. In 2022, she revealed that she had liposuction. She also spoke about her experience with the diabetes medication Ozempic, which she described as “horrible.”

She explained during an interview, “I have this gene, GDF15, which makes you extremely prone to nausea. So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago, and I was, like, bedridden. I was vomiting — and then you have no energy.”

Later, she tried another medication, Mounjaro, and shared that it worked better for her. In March 2025, she posted a video saying she was on her second shot and that she was having a “great” experience. She also said she felt stronger and more balanced while managing her endometriosis and perimenopause symptoms.

In 2024, Amy Schumer revealed her Cushing syndrome diagnosis, a condition that affects hormone levels and can cause changes in appearance. She said she wanted to “advocate for women’s health.”

In one of her posts, she shared, “The shaming and criticism of our ever-changing bodies is something I have dealt with and witnessed for a long time.”
