“I’m gonna be bald in about a week” - Kyle Richards’ daughter Sophia opens up about ‘dramatic’ hair loss after using weight-loss drug

American actress Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's daughter Sophia Umansky posted a video on TikTok on April 30, noting that she has been taking weight loss medication.

Sophie while mentioning that she has been taking Mounjaro, an FDA-approved presciption medication for people with Type 2 diabetes noted that she's losing hair as a side-effect.

"I am very lucky that I have so much hair, because at the rate that I've been losing hair, I'm gonna be bald in about a week."

Sophie revealed that she witnessed dramatic hair loss around three to four weeks ago, and added photos of her bathroom where her hair can be seen in the shower and sink. Umansky said that the pictures of her fallen hair were not even "half of it."

"I'm just going to show you a quick little video of what my hair loss looks like, and this is every day. And you're not even seeing the half of it.

The reality show star clarified that while the hair loss is not a direct result of the medication, she thinks it's a direct result of rapid weight loss caused by the medication.

Sophia had appeared on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and Buying Beverly Hills. She graduated from George Washington University, Washington, D.C in 2022 and started her career by interning at her dad's real estate company, The Agency.

Kyle's fourth daughter, Portia, 17, is following her mother's foosteps and is pursuing acting, unlike the rest of her sisters. Kyle while speaking to Page Six in a 2018 interview, opened up about how she feels about Portia's career choice, saying,

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky had been together for 27 years before Kyle confirmed news of their separation in October, 2024.
