“I was taking orders from my sister-in-law” - Aaron Rodgers drops more clues about identity of mystery wife Brittani

Professional footballer Aaron Rodgers, who has been keen to keep his private life on the down low, recently confirmed to a reporter that he is a newly married man.

While Aaron Rodgers has been quiet about his mystery wife, Brittani, he recently hinted at it.

After being cut loose from the New York Jets in March, Rodgers said in an August 2025 interview with The Athletic that his wife's younger sister, Mia, helped him land a one-year, $13.65 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“I was taking orders from my (new) sister-in-law, Mia,” Rodgers told the publication . “She’s 20 and she’s the brains of the family; you just have to ask her.”

Rodgers further laughed and added:

“No — but that is partially serious, for sure. Every team that I talked to, I said, ‘Listen, if I play, I’m not going to take a ton of money. I’ve made a ton of money. I don’t need the money.’”

During an appearance on ESPN's The Pat McAfee Show last year, just before the holidays, Aaron Rodgers revealed the name of his mystery girlfriend, leaving fans excited and guessing.

“I used to enjoy a little outing over to the Bay Park mall in Wisconsin every now and then, but I actually ordered all of [my Christmas gifts] online this year. I was a little worried because there was one package left for my girlfriend, Brittani, that hadn’t showed up yet. “So I’ve been waiting on this to show up and it showed up today.” Rodgers told McAfee on the December 23 episode of The Pat McAfee Show

This happened when Aj Hawk joked that Aaron Rodgers was dating pop sensation Britney Spears when Rodgers was able to spell her name correctly.

“Not Britney Spears, this is Brittani with an I. It’s a good feeling, boys.” Rodgers replied.

Since releasing Brittani's identity, Rodgers has not divulged further details about his partner. However, in an April visit on The Pat McAfee Show, he discussed his NFL contract predicament and revealed some information about his personal life.

"I'm in a different phase of my life. “I’m 41 years old. I’m in a serious relationship. I have off-the-field stuff going on that requires my attention. I have personal commitments not knowing what my future was going to look like after last year that are important to me.” Aaron Rodgers revealed on April 17.

“I have a couple of people in my inner circle who are really battling some difficult stuff. I have a lot of things that are taking my attention and have, beginning in January, away from football. That’s been where I’ve been focusing most of my attention.” He continued

Rodgers decided to stay quiet about his love life on his Netflix docuseries, Aaron Rodgers: The Enigma, which was released in December 2024. The docuseries revealed various aspects of Rodgers' life, including his tension with the Green Bay Packers, his love of ayahuasca, and his family.

Mallory Edens, the daughter of the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks owner, was the last person Aaron Rodgers was associated with.
