“I think I'm having a panic attack” - Paige DeSorbo recounts the toughest part of her podcast tour show

Reality television personality Paige DeSorbo appeared on the April 29 episode of Amy Poehler’s podcast, Good Hang with Amy Poehler. While speaking candidly with Poehler, DeSorbo shared details about tough moments she faced while she was on her own podcast tour. She said,

“We're about to go out on stage in like fifteen minutes and I'm like, ‘No. I think I'm having a panic attack. My hands are numb, I'm crying, I'm throwing up.’”

Paige DeSorbo has been touring with her live comedy show, Club Giggly, along with co-host Hannah Berner, since September 2024. The tour kicked off in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has since then spanned across 28 cities in North America, as per Deadline.

The live comedy show tour is a part of the podcast Giggly Squad, which Paige DeSorbo launched along with Hannah Berner in 2020. The podcast and the live comedy show cover numerous themes, which include pop culture, fashion, and dating.

The panic attack incident that DeSorbo shared during Poehler’s podcast occurred just a few minutes before she was supposed to go on stage in front of audiences in Denver. The incident took place during the early part of the tour in September 2024. While revealing what was going through her mind at the time, DeSorbo further shared,

“I'm literally in the midst of crying, tears are running down my face…I realized that Hannah has forgotten her shirt that she's wearing out on stage. So she's gonna wear this silk pajama shirt that the venue had given us, like this merch. I can't even speak, and the only words I can get out is: ‘You can't wear that shirt on stage!’”

DeSorbo’s friend and co-host, Berner, who also appeared on the April 29 episode of Poehler’s podcast, shared more details about the incident. Berner recalled that at the time, she told DeSorbo:

“‘You're having a panic attack, and you're gonna tell me what I'm gonna wear?’”

DeSorbo further shared that it was only after Berner changed her T-shirt that she was able to calm herself down.

Paige DeSorbo’s creative partnership with Hannah Berner explored

Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner met during the filming of the reality television show Summer House. The two appeared as castmates in the third season of the show in 2019. It was during this period that the two developed a strong bond. The next year, DeSorbo and Berner launched their podcast, which became an instantaneous hit.

Prior to getting to know each other properly during Summer House, DeSorbo, while speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, shared that the two had in fact encountered each other before. She revealed,

“We met in an elevator, I've never remembered any man I've ever met, or any relationship, but I remember meeting Hannah.”

DeSorbo, who was also present during the show, further iterated,

“We are like partners. We're, like, in a non-s*xual marriage.”

Their nature of relationship was also a subject of conversation during DeSorbo and Berner’s appearance on Good Hang with Amy Poehler. DeSorbo’s mother, Kimberley DeSorbo, who appeared on the podcast prior to her daughter’s entry, said,

“Their bond is just incredible and so needed in today’s environment.”

Paige DeSorbo was in a relationship with Craig Conover, a businessman and a reality television personality. The couple’s relationship lasted for three years, until November 2024. As per E! News, it was Berner who comforted DeSorbo and helped her move on after her breakup.
