Seth Meyers, 51, recalled that one song by the hilarious musical trio The Lonely Island made him vomit because of laughing too much.
On the recent episode of The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast, uploaded two days ago, the co-hosts, Seth Meyers, Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone, discussed making the Laser Cats! 4 Ever short, spoke about the Frazier theme song, and more.
Mentioning Dennis Franz, the Late Night host said,
"I kinda couldn't believe you guys talked about Dennis Franz for that long and didn't mention that the Dennis Franz line is the hardest I've ever laughed at a Lonely Island [song]."
Myers shared that since the first time he heard the track in the 2016 mockumentary Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, he has not forgotten it. He noted,
"I think about it all the time."

Expressing his fascination for the lyrics, he also added,
"I'm really happy sometimes because the run of lyrics that starts, 'I'm an American,' is maybe my favorite series of lines."
Seth Meyers and The Lonely Island members discussed the funny song
During the podcast, Andy Samberg also opened up about Seth's interest in the comedy band's Mona Lisa song. He confessed,
"You did like that joke a lot."
The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star further continued,
"You, I think more than anyone I know, like that song. And people like that song, but it maybe is your favorite of our songs."
Recalling the composition of the whimsical song for Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, Andy added,
"Melodically, it veers into Morrissey territory also, which is fun."
During his chat with Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone, Seth Meyers recounted the first time he heard the Mona Lisa song. He also added that Mike Shoemaker, Seth's SNL and Late Night collaborator, joined him to listen to the track, Entertainment Weekly reported.
Quite expectedly, they had the funniest reactions. Remembering the rib-tickling moment, he expressed,
"The lore about 'Mona Lisa' is that you sent it to Shoemaker and I — we were in my office, and we laughed so hard that I threw up and he farted. I literally started choking and threw up into my trash can, and he farted."
The Lonely Island's Mona Lisa song was significantly cut to just a third of a chorus for Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, according to Vanity Fair. It was abridged due to pacing and narrative considerations during the editing process. Later, the original song was released.
